Background

Oxfam in Thailand is part of the broader Oxfam Asia platform. The Oxfam legacy project team in Thailand works in collaboration with strategic partners to advocate for reducing inequality, promote sustainability of the food system, and gender equality. The Food Justice Team now operates influencing projects on sustainable food production and consumption, and sustainable fisheries. Our critical approaches are consumer campaigning, private sector engagement, and CSO coalition strengthening.

So, Oxfam is looking for a Legal consultancy team to work with Oxfam in order to review legal matters and being the advisor in order to ensure that all Oxfam’s work is running smoothly and mitigate any risks that might occur during the execution of the plan until December 2021.

Scope of work and activities

• Provide legal advice on potential legal risks and suggest mitigation measures on Oxfam’s campaignrelated works as well as reviewing and providing advice on the agreement between Oxfam and external parties both in Thai and English.
• Having experience or Expertise in the following areas is highly preferred: defamation, tort, copyrights and trademarks, computerrelated laws, commercial contract, and litigation
• Having experience in dealing with staff redundant cases, severance payment according to Thai labor law
• Provide legal advice for deregistration/closure of the entity including administration process as required by government bodies
• Proven experience and knowledge with INGOs or project funding base would be an advantage
