The Communication and Knowledge Management Specialist will be key personnel on the contract and must be local to S/SE Asia. The position is full-time, and hiring is contingent upon USAID approval. Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Regional Innovation Hub (RIH) communications strategy to highlight major WE4F themes including gender, poverty alleviation, environmental sustainability, biodiversity, climate resilience, the journey to self-reliance, food security and efficient use of natural resources.
- Write program news on all RIH interventions and innovator case stories and develop audio and visual media pieces, infographics to be disseminated in e-newsletters, social media posts, blogs, webinar presentations, podcasts
- Assist with the finalization of project deliverables to include researching, editing and formatting documents and training materials, and developing slide deck presentations.
- Lead outreach to innovators, potential grantees, stakeholders and the public through a range of digital, in-person and event engagements, and other audio and visual media.
- Ensure compliance with WE4F branding and quality assurance guidelines in all program deliverables and outputs, in collaboration with the WE4F Secretariat.
- Provide branding and communications support to WE4F innovators, including media training and presentation coaching.
- Create and maintain a RIH Knowledge Library as a digital platform to compile, share and engage knowledge management products with stakeholders.
- Support the RIH’s Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) group that reviews progress and applies learnings to interventions.
- Oversee the production and development of an accompanying dissemination strategy for all RIH knowledge management products in coordination with the Hub’s units.
- Coordinate and engage with the WE4F Secretariat and other WE4F Regional Innovation Hubs on communications and knowledge management topics.
- Source local innovator information for communications and knowledge management efforts through engagement with Country Coordinators.
- Support the collection of performance indicator data and the development of contractual deliverables and any other reporting
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Essential KSA’s Required (experience, skills, education, certification, etc.):
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, international development or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in the region implementing communications and outreach initiatives with a focus on international development projects in South and/or Southeast Asia
- Experience with the logistics of webinars, video conferences, podcasts, virtual library, calendar, and invitations (RSVPs) to learning activities and events.
- Highly knowledgeable about the use of varied digital platforms and mechanisms to support learning
- Proven ability to design, lead, and evaluate public outreach campaigns for diverse audiences
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Spark)
- Strong working knowledge of social media and online marketing/content management platforms (Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, PinPointe)
- Fluency in English (reading, writing and presentation skills)
