Job Title: SENIOR CASE PROCESSING OFFICER (Departure)

Background/IRC Summary: The IRC has a rich history of assisting refugees to apply for U.S. resettlement, from its founding in 1933 to help vulnerable individuals escape Nazi-occupied Europe, to pioneering the Joint Voluntary Agency which assisted Indochinese refugees for 22 years, to operations in Croatia, Sierra Leone and Sudan. Over the years, IRC has processed some half million refugees worldwide for U.S. resettlement.
Based in Bangkok with four field offices in Thailand and Malaysia, the IRC Resettlement Support Center (IRC-RSC) assists persons throughout Asia seeking permanent resettlement in the United States. Operating in fifteen countries, the RSC prepares refugee applications for the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, provides information to resettlement agencies about arriving refugees and offers cultural orientation training to those refugees bound for the U.S
Job Overview/Summary: The Senior Case Processing Officer (SCPO) is responsible for complex data entry into WRAPS system and daily workload management of Case Processing department’s specific unit’s workload in a timely and accurate manner, in compliance with existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The SCPO performs other office functions outside of the general responsibilities of case processing as assigned by immediate supervisor. This position reports to the Case Processing Manager.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supervise Case Processing Officer and/or temporary staff and ensure quality of work meets existing Standard Operating Procedures
- Manage task delegation and monitor progress of Case Processing Officer and/or temporary staff, as well as provide relevant feedback to the Case Processing Manager on team’s performances
- Maintain high quality control levels of case files after USCIS adjudication on complex/specialized caseloads
- Act as a liaison in the field between RSC Casework team, USCIS RAD team, IOM, and RAs for all post processing as necessary
- Whenever required, organize, support and manage case processing teams during USCIS circuit rides
- Work closely with other SCPO to coordinate daily assessment, quality control of case updates, scanning /attaching, medical updates, assurance requests and travel packets within assigned units, and other units as necessary
- Monitor and implement quality control measures of case information and ensure accurate data entry both in WRAPS and physical file before moving forward with further processing.
- Produce specific progress reports to Case Processing Manager as required
- Enter refugee case information into WRAPS and case files
- Provide task-specific training/guidance to the Case Processing staff, as well as New hire/Part-timers/Interpreters
- Perform other duties as assigned

Indirect Reporting: Senior Case Processing Manager, Thailand
Program Coordinators, Thailand
Other Internal and/or external contacts:
Internal: All Bangkok and Malaysia RSC staff
External: USCIS officers, RPC, UNHCR, IOM and RMA
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Minimum College or University Diploma in any field; or equivalent to a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience will be considered
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2-years of proven Supervisory, Team Management and Leadership experience is a must
- Candidate with relevant resettlement processing experience, knowledge and exposure is advantageous
- Exposure to a multi-cultural environment is an added value
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to lead a team and promote productivity in a positive work environment
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, effectively manage time, and meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to travel to other provinces for periodic short-term assignments as needed and willingness to work in refugee camps along the Thai-Burma border.
- Excellent interpersonal skill: ability to communicate and work effectively and professionally with partners and colleagues in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment
- Ensure compliance of policies and procedures by team members; with a professional and constructive attitude
- Proven advanced data entry skills – Meticulous, High Accuracy and Quality Control
- Good Team player, strong analytical skills and able to think and work independently as and when needed
Language and Computer Skills:
- Ability to converse, read and write in English is a must Bilingual (Thai/English) is a plus
- Computer literacy – Proficient in Ms Office i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint , Outlook
Others:
- Able to travel whenever required, both domestically and internationally
