Job Advertisement: Business Analyst and Financial Reporting Hub Lead

Position:  Business Analyst and Financial Reporting Hub Lead 

Duty station: Bangkok

JOB BACKGROUND:  This role will lead the Business Analysis in the Asia Pacific Region, ensuring data is managed and reported in a timely and accurate manner.

By accessing systems, data, polices and deliverables, this role will take the lead  in  continuously developing new reports, performance score cards, dashboards and reports in variety of areas, that enable the country offices and the regional hub to understand all their data and to make informed decisions on next steps.

This role will also be responsible for the specific development of new financial reports using Power BI., and will work in close partnership with the country offices to ensure the reporting meets their needs in addition to the needs of the regional hub.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for all aspects of financial reporting for the Asia Region and other regions, while taking the lead on other business analysis aspects. This includes but isn’t limited to:

• Developing reporting to strengthen the management of the region
• Develop a dashboard that could be used by CO and RH
• Creating BVAs for COs to monitor and track CO grant spend
• Creating BVAs for COs to monitor and track CO sponsorship spend
• Creating power BI databases so COs can use online reporting to drill into their data.
• Creating reporting that monitors grant issues and ensure the region moves beyond the need for continuous remediation
• Lead maximization of the benefits from ERP to ensure COs strengthen their approach to grants accounting on system, with simpler, faster procedures to eliminate offline reporting, and need for ongoing remediation
• Develop reporting that monitors cost recovery and cost ratios within COs
• Leading general Business Analysis within the region (IE. HR metrics), and ensuring all data compiled is analyzed and presented accordingly

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Relevant university degree or equivalent experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of NGOs
• Knowledge of Power BI and SAP preferred.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW/CIMA/ACCA or internationally recognized equivalent) is desirable
• Previous business analyst experience is preferred
• Strong critical thinking, conceptual and analytical skills
• Experience in statistical analysis and data mining across multiple systems and technologies
• Good knowledge of and previous experience of project management lifecycle, key elements of project planning and governance
• Experience in improving business processes for management outcomes
