About the program:
ASEAN–Australia Counter-Trafficking (ASEAN-ACT) will continue Australia’s long-running collaboration with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to combat trafficking in persons in our region. The program will principally engage in the justice sector response to trafficking in persons. It will engage all ten ASEAN Member States in some capacity and will establish national-level programming in Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. ASEAN-ACT has been identified as an important area of cooperation in the Plan of Action to Implement the ASEAN-Australia Strategic Partnership (2020-2024).
Overview
ASEAN-ACT is engaging a consultant to support the ongoing implementation and upcoming review of the Bohol TIP Work Plan (BWP) in coordination with the SOMTC Voluntary Lead Shepherd on Trafficking in Persons.
Objective
The objective of this consultancy is to support SOMTC Philippines, under the Philippine interior department (DILG) in its role as the Voluntary Lead Shepherd on Trafficking in Persons. SOMTC Philippines is in the process of facilitating the assessment and reporting on progress of implementation of the Bohol Work Plan across sectors and pillars.
The Regional Work Plan Review Adviser will support DILG in this activity, coordinating directly with SOMTC Lead Shepherd on TIP or a nominated delegate as the key counterpart.
This is a key part of implementation of ASEAN-ACT's ASEAN program work plan and will contribute towards achievement of EOPO1.

Reporting Requirements
The Consultant will report directly to the SOMTC Lead Shepherd on TIP or his delegated representative for day-to-day direction. The Consultant will closely coordinate with nominated partner government focal persons for substantive matters and direction of the assignment.
The Consultant will determine their final work schedule, outline and methodology at the beginning of the assignment. The work schedule will set clear deadlines for the completion of each expected deliverable. Outputs will be signed off in consultation with the SOMTC Lead Shepherd on TIP or his delegated representative and the ASEAN Program Director, ASEAN-ACT.
Position Duration: Up to 40 days inputs over a 6-month period
