FINANCE OFFICER
Duty Station: Mae Sariang town, Mae Hong Son province
Work locations: Mae Sariang and Sob-Moei Districts with occasional visits in the field
Duration: 10 months with potential for extension
Salary range: 25-30,000 THB/month (+benefits)
Supervisor/Supervisee: Project Coordinator / Finance Assistant

Main Responsibilities/Duties
Assist the Project Coordinator in financial planning and project budgeting.
Review, confirm, and verify advance and procurement request processes based on budget available.
Checking and properly assigning budget lines in vouchers, using correctly both donor budget lines and MI internal budget lines.
Handle petty cash and assure daily cash flow.
Booking of project expenditures and updating of budget control monthly.
Prepare and verify expenditure vouchers and financial support documents for review by Project Coordinator and approval by Program Coordinator.
Report expenditures into MI online accounting system Fundtrack Light and collaborate with Senior Program Administrator and Asia Support Unit for adjustments or corrections.
Assist the Senior Program Administrator in monthly cash request against respective project budgets together with project coordinators before submission to HQ
Ensure all documents for interim and final financial reports for donors and auditors are made available, including necessary staff data, rental contracts, service contracts etc.
Prepare in a timely manner, monthly salary payments, in accordance with internal deadlines.
Occasional visits to the field for follow-up and supervision of compliance with financial regulations at field bases as well as for payment of salaries
Essential Qualifications/Skills:
Thai nationality
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
Proven experience with 2-3 years of finance/accounting work with (I)NGO or alternative position with similar responsibilities.
Experience with supervision of other staff
Good administrative and office management skills
High sense of integrity and confidentiality with ability to work and cope with stress
Computer skills with MS package (MS Word and Excel and Powerpoint), especially Excel skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Good command of English (spoken and written) and fluent in Thai.
Ability to speak, read and write Sgaw Karen is considered an advantage.
Starting date: As soon as possible.
