PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTICS OFFICER
Duty Station: Mae Sariang town, Mae Hong Son province
Work locations: Mae Sariang and Sob-Moei Districts with occasional visits in the field
Duration: 10 months with potential for extension
Salary range: 30,000 THB/month (+benefits)
Supervisor/Supervisee: Project Coordinator / Procurement and Logistics Assistant & Drivers

Main Responsibilities/Duties
Carry out logistics chores in accordance with MI logistics guidelines, including procurement rules and the use of relevant MI forms for these procedures.
Ensure accurate documentation and correct handling of inventory and stock control through physical verification and use of waybills, life files, inventory codes and any other documentation.
Ensure project-related facilities functions correctly and that maintenance is provided.
Liaise with the relevant authorities, transport companies for shipping/transport permissions.
Based on approved procurement request lead procurement process of equipment and materials following MI procurement procedures (including use of tender and preselected suppliers, quotations, comparative bid analysis and selections and procurement orders etcetera)
Prepare regular workplans and procurement plans with support of Project Coordinators.
Assist in quality control and evaluation of suppliers through the vendor list
Check all deliveries are correct and payments done only for amounts received.
Supervise driver team and their maintenance of the project equipment and vehicle fleet (driver schedules, repair and fuel consumption records and logbooks).
Ensure safety and security guidelines are applied and followed correctly within the project.
Timely submission of logistics monthly reports, work and procurement plans.
Planning with finance for expenditure forecasts and all payments related to procurement process
Essential Qualifications/Skills:
Thai nationality with university degree in relevant discipline with additional relevant training in fields like supply chain management, warehouse management, safety- and security-related training.
Previous logistics experience on inventory, and stock control.
Extensive experience with procurement and supplier selection.
Previous experience in managing vehicle planning to support staff and equipment transport
Experience in management of safety and security aspect for staff, equipment, and facilities
Multi-tasked and flexible
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Good computer skills with MS package (MS Word and Excel and Powerpoint)
Good command of English (spoken and written) and fluent in Thai.
A valid driver license (MC and Car) considered and advantage
Starting date: As soon as possible.
