Job Title: Legal and Liaison Advisor

Location: Bangkok Office, Thailand

BACKGROUND OF ORGANIZATION:

 

The LAW AND CASE registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand, established in 2012, under the regulations and the Lawyers Act 1985, we also registered as a limited company in 2021. LAW AND CASE is an independent law firm with lawyers and consultants practicing on litigation, legal consultancy services as well as promoting and researching on human rights, rule of law, social justice, democratic governance as well as promoting transitional justice both nationally and internationally to build a sustainable peace, our office is based  in Bangkok, Thailand.

RESPONSIBILITIES


 

Job Summary:

Legal and Liaison Advisor aims to work, facilitate, and provide daily support, coordinate, legal consultancy services and necessary information on legal and operation management, including some projects on social works and charitable activities regarding human rights and peace, conflict and violence in Thailand and other countries for successful implementing various tasks of company in Thailand and other countries

 

Specific Tasks:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating national and international contracts, an employment agreement or consultant agreement and other legally relevant documents (inter alia drafting of standard offers and contracts, reviewing customer or supplier contracts, legal support in tender procedures) in the field of general contract law and certification.

  • To provide legal (domestic and international laws), policy advice and technical support to various clients.

  • To provide legal advice and research on specific issues of concern as requested.

  • To maintain and expand where appropriate company’s strategic partnership with the related Government and Public and private agencies and Non-profit Organizations, etc.

  • Monitoring and networking, ensure that company and various clients are well informed about policy and law of Thailand and other countries.

  • To provide liaison and support his/her supervisor in representation with related Government and Public, private agencies and Non-profit Organizations, etc.

  • Sharing and updating an interesting fact, policy and legal issue, situation, and necessary information regarding Human rights and peace, conflict and violence in Thailand and other countries.

  • To support his/her supervisor in all coordination and liaison with the related Government and Public and private agencies and Non-profit Organizations, etc.

  • To communicate and strategically engage with target corporate and related Government and Public and private agencies, and Non-profit Organizations, etc.

  • To work, facilitate and provide daily support, coordinate, consultancy services and necessary information regarding operations management for implementing works in Thailand.

  • To prepare and finalize the necessary documents, application, and report for the purposes of registration and working in collaboration with related Government and Public agencies to accomplish the registration and including renewing the registration with related government agencies.

  • To maintain relations and liaise with all networks to increase collaboration and build trust and work towards goals elaborated in the strategic framework in various tasks.

  • To analysis and research on specific policy and law relating to human rights and peace, conflict and violence in Thailand and other countries, including strengthening policy and law information system.

  • To establish an electronic resource Centre on website or program application.

  • To support in other related works as requested.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCTION AND SKILLS

 

  • Thai National with advanced University Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in law.

  • 2 to 7 years of relevant experience in providing legal consultancy services or litigation with Law firms / business sectors, government and public agencies or International Non-Governmental Organizations or Non-Governmental Organizations, etc.

  • Knowledge of culture, work environment and perspective in Thailand and other countries.

  • Team player with excellent work delivery skills and ability to develop and maintain good working relationships across internal and external teams.

  • Awareness of social, political issues relevant to human rights and peace, conflict and violence in Thailand and other countries.

  • Knowledge of Thai laws and Thai Judicial system, and international human rights and humanitarian laws.

  • Knowledge on operations management skills.

  • Knowledge of negotiation and diplomatic techniques and strategy for coordinating with third parties or any stakeholders.

  • Having a mature attitude and personality.

  • Result-oriented and self-motivated and understand team dynamics.

  • Able to travel up-country and abroad (Flexible for national and international travels).

  • Ability to analyze complex problems

  • Computer literate, word, excel, power point, Internet, mailing system and Microsoft outlook.

  • Experience and knowledge on communications, negotiation, decision making skills.

  • Having a driver license, is advantageous.

  • Good command in English and Thai (Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing).

  • Having an Attorney at Law License is advantageous.
