Women Empowerment/Community Mobilization Coordinator

Kindernothilfe e.V. (KNH) is a non-governmental organization found in 1959. KNH works with local non-governmental organizations and their networks in 30 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe to realize and protect children’s rights. In Germany, KNH engages in awareness raising, education and advocacy relating to development policies and particularly to the implementation of the Child Rights Convention.
In Thailand, Kindernothilfe is registered as the regional office based in Chiang Mai province. KNH Thailand works in partnership with local organizations in Thailand and Myanmar with programs and projects that aim at improving the rights of vulnerable and marginalized children and to help them develop their full potential. We focus on long-term results by helping people help themselves, to overcome dependencies, and to strengthen self-reliance. We promote an effective form of support that makes a difference by creating a lasting impact in children’s lives. To achieve those, we practice a close dialogue with the partners, we carry out regular field visits and strengthen partners capacities in various aspects.
Goal of this position: Ensure that women empowerment and child rights-based community mobilization are implemented and contributing to the KNH Country Strategy and local partners’ project framework.

The applicant should be knowledgeable in at least one of these areas (women empowerment, child rights, community development, and poverty reduction) and have:
Contract period: 1 year (January - December 2022) with potentials to renew
Work station: Chiang Mai
