Background
World Vision Foundation of Thailand (WVFT) is a non-profit, Christian organization, dedicated to transformational development of children, families and communities. It was founded in 1974, and is currently supporting children, families and community development in 46 provinces in Thailand.
Purpose of position
The purpose of this position is to lead partnership management and technical inputs on World Vision Foundation of Thailand’s (WVFT) upcoming project on forced labor investigation and prosecution. The Project Partnerships and Technical Advisor will be based in WVFT’s Bangkok Office, under the supervision of the Project Manager. This position will play a key role in day-to-day project implementation and coordination of activities, especially with capacity building officers, local partners and government agencies.
Main responsibilities
The responsibilities pertaining to this position include:
- Technical inputs
- Serve as the focal point for technical inputs to activity implementation, including to project manager, partners, and capacity building officers.
- Ensure that capacity building activities on investigation are centered in trauma informed, victim centered approaches, utilizing World Vision survivor informed prosecution training framework.
- Lead activity implementation at the national level, including supporting the development guidelines and training packages on investigations and prosecution for forced labor crimes.
- Prepare and update detailed workplans together with the project team.
- Undertake regular field visits to target areas to monitor and oversee activities implemented by team members
- Support the Project MEAL Advisor to ensure data collection and input related to M+E is on track according to M+E plan.
- In collaboration with the Project MEAL Advisor, ensure that all project activities are monitored and evaluated.
- Partnership and stakeholder engagement
- Serve as the focal point for project partners and stakeholders and ensure their inclusion and participation within the project scope of interventions.
- Represent WFVT in coordination meetings with project partners and stakeholders.
- Represent WFVT when engaging and conducting advocacy work with selected government agencies at local and provincial levels.
- Closely coordinate with other INGOs, NGOs, UN and CBOs/CSOs engaged within the project target areas.
- Closely liaise with relevant Thai departments and authorities.
- Support monitoring and evaluation activities with partners and the Project MEAL Advisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Masters degree or higher in development studies or related fields.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in counter trafficking in persons, with a preference for grant funded projects related to forced labor, investigations and/or prosecution.
- A minimum of three years experience working in partnership engagement, including partnerships with central and local government, INGOs and local CSOs.
- Strong networking, coordination and facilitation skills and techniques.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and diplomatic skills with the ability to build partnerships, both within the organization, and with external partners and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure and ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment under competing deadlines.
- Computer proficient, with experience using Microsoft Office tools and online communication platform, mainly Zoom and Microsoft team.
- Working level of English is a plus, but not mandatory.
