Consultant to Develop SOGIESC Curriculum for Staff Training
Save the Children’s HEARTS (Highlighting Equality and Respect Towards all SOGIESC) project under the child protection programme aims to ensure that LGBTIQ+ children and youth can enjoy their rights. One of the outcomes of the project is to ensure LGBTIQ+ children can better access and participate in Save the Children’s programs. After conducting sessions with project staff and partners, we’d like to develop curriculum that can be utilized after the project ends, to ensure that staff can continue to build understanding and capacity, within the organization and with partners.
The aim of this curriculum is to be a facilitator’s guide to conduct activities with staff (internal and external) to build understanding on gender equality and diversity, and to be able to promote gender equality and be SOGIESC-inclusion in their work, considering intersectionality. The curriculum will consist of main concepts of gender equality, SOGIESC/diversity, and applied intersectionality. The consultant will develop the curriculum with project staff, based from existing resources and learnings from workshops conducted. The consultant will also co-facilitate a workshop with project staff to trial the curriculum and make any revisions required.
