Consultant for Focus group discussion and Video Production for Call to action activities from REACT ll Project
Background
Save the Children is the leading independent organisation for children in need, with programmes in 120 countries. We aim to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children, and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives by improving their health, education and economic opportunities. In times of acute crisis, we mobilise rapid assistance to help children recover from the effects of war, conflict and natural disasters.
Reaching Education for All Children in Thailand (REACT) II aims to contribute to Thailand’s achievement of the Education for All (EFA) policy through improving access to quality basic education for migrant children (aged 3 – 18 years) in Tak and Ranong Provinces by 2022. This will be achieved through three interconnected outcomes:
OUTCOME 1 Accessibility; Migrant children in Tak and Ranong have improved access to flexible learning pathways including Thai schools, NFE and MLCs (Schools might be closed but children are still enrolled.)
OUTCOME 2 Learning Outcomes; Migrant children benefit from improved teaching and learning amidst COVID-19.
OUTCOME 3 Policy and Advocacy; Improved linkages, information-sharing and coordination, with local migrant education stakeholders to influence improved policy and practice for migrant children amidst COVID-19 response and recovery.
OUTCOME 4 COVID-19 Prevention; Parents, teachers, and communities are better protected against COVID-19 transmission.
Under this contract, the consultant is required to conduct a group discussion with the project’s target groups and produce 3-5 minutes one documentation video. The video will be used as an evidence-based storytelling tool to promote the benefits of education and enrolment of migrant children who are out of school. This call to action will address the needs and access blockers of girls and boys to education.
