JOB PURPOSE:

The Senior Digital Fundraising Officer is responsible for developing and implementing a digital strategy for fundraising campaigns to optimise income growth from existing and new digital channels.

While the role takes the lead in building a strategic digital fundraising presence to help achieve fundraising targets, it will also be responsible for the hands-on implementation of fundraising campaigns across social media, website, and other online channels. This position will also work directly in implementing digital acquisition fundraising campaigns to attract new donors, community fundraisers and corporate partners.

Key to the success of this role will be to work closely with Growth Mobilization team members, as well as members of Media and Communications team, Campaign team, Operation team and the fundraising team at Regional Office and International Secretariat Office to ensure that digital fundraising activities deliver income targets while aligning with the broader organisational branding and messaging strategy.

As the Digital fundraising becomes the priority stream of generating funds for Amnesty Thailand, we are looking for a highly motivated and results driven Senior Digital Fundraising Officer to lead and work with Growth team to generate funds to protect and promote human rights in Thailand and worldwide. The senior officer should be an expert in Digital with Sale & Marketing for Not-for-Profit organization background to manage digital and integrated fundraising campaign covering both offline and online elements.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include creating digital ads and writing compelling fundraising copy across all channels (email, website, paid ads). You’ll be running digital fundraising campaigns from start to finish – creating ads, writing landing page copy, optimising paid digital activity, reporting on results, and ensuring that they deliver to target. The vast majority of campaigns are in-house and so you must be confident in Google and Facebook ad campaigns. Strong PPC experience is also crucial, and the ability to use Google Analytics in order to analyse campaign performance is key.

Duties

  • Develop a digital fundraising strategy to integrate digital activities into all fundraising campaigns including appeals, community fundraising and corporate partnerships to grow income from digital channels.
  • Work closely with Growth Mobilization Supervisor, and Regional Fundraising Manager to develop and deliver online acquisition campaigns which generate new donors and secure donations for Amnesty International.
  • Work closely with Media and Communication team to build and implement strategic digital campaigns which showcase Amnesty Thailand’s successes and attract and identify new potential donors.
  • Work closely with Campaign team to leverage human rights issues to acquire new donors and supporters.
  • Build a strategic and living presence for Amnesty Thailand’s fundraising activities, campaigns and content on the Amnesty Thailand website.
  • Design online donor journeys which optimise donor and supporter care, retention and engagement.
  • Take a lead role in continuous improvement of online processes to support fundraising activities, including marketing automation, fundraising platforms and donor journey integration.
  • Provide input for improvements to database reporting, donor segmentation and data capture.
  • Keep up to date with best practice fundraising techniques, technologies, products and platforms to implement innovative ways to attract new supporters.
  • Work closely with Media and Communication team, Campaign team, Operation team, Regional Fundraising Manager and Global Fundraising Project Manager to develop and implement successful integrated tactical digital campaigns.
  • Develop and/or source content and copy for fundraising campaigns, activities and initiatives including eDMs, webpages, landing pages, donate forms, social media ads.
  • Prepare budgets and ROI for online media advertising and expenditure.
  • Work closely with the Media and Communications team, in particular with the digital communications function, to ensure fundraising campaigns are aligned to Amnesty’s messages and themes.
  • Perform timely digital fundraising campaign analysis and data-driven reporting to inform ongoing campaign modification and enhancement, as well as inform future campaign development.
  • In conjunction with Growth Mobilization team members implement marketing automation, platforms and other tools to streamline online donor and fundraiser interaction with Amnesty Thailand.
  • Actively pursue new digital revenue opportunities and innovations for digital tests, campaigns and revenue streams.

Essential Criteria

  • A relevant University degree and/or relevant experience in a digital marketing field with an emphasis on revenue generation or fundraising.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in growing online fundraising outcomes in similar organisation or for non-profit sector.
  • Proven experience in integrated marketing communication, fundraising from individual donors, Communication, Marketing, New Media management and development.
  • Proven experience in generating revenue or fundraising content across digital channels such as social media and website.
  • Ability and willingness to function both strategically and hands-on in the delivery of campaigns.
  • Experience in devising and implementing user journeys that utilise creative, targeted A/B testing and remarketing.
  • Strong experience delivering paid campaigns across video, social, search and display platforms.
  • Demonstrated high levels of experience using analytics to report and drive campaigns with Google Analytics, Campaign Monitor, Mail Chimp etc.
  • Experience in broader digital disciplines including social media (Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram), eDM development, content, UX, SEO.
  • Experience with CRMs, databases, and P2P third-party fundraising platforms, with strong appreciation of how these and related technologies can enhance fundraising activities.
  • Proven team player who takes own initiative in supporting and achieving team goals.
  • Strong project management experience and the implementation of successful campaigns.
  • A high level of professionalism, ethics and integrity.
  • Alignment to Amnesty International’s values and work.

Desirable

  • Passionate in human rights and interested in not-for-profit organization.
  • Hands-on experience with content development and a good creative eye for detail.
  • Experience in a non-charity e-commerce role • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, with an ability to complete tasks, with a strong attention to detail.

  • Fluency in English and Thai language (both written and spoken)
