Community Partners International (CPI) is a U.S. nonprofit organization working in partnership with conflict-affected, hard-to-reach and underserved communities in Southeast Asia to expand access to quality health services and generate the resources, local capacity and coordination necessary to meet their own health, learning, and development needs. CPI’s Asian headquarters are located in Yangon, Myanmar, and the organization maintains field offices throughout Myanmar.
With support from Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), CPI leads one of two consortia implementing the project supporting health systems strengthening and convergence through maternal, neonatal and child health care (MNCH) services delivered in Kayin State.
CPI is supporting three local partners operating 80 community-based primary care clinics in Hlaingbwe, Kawkareik, Kyain Seikgyi, Myawaddy townships serving a target population of more than 235,000 people in underserved, vulnerable and conflict-affected communities
Regular Responsibilities
● Working with Program Manager , other Program team to implement a cohesive andcoordinated plan for supporting Primary Health care especially Maternal, Neonatal andChild health activities at each partner organization
● Assist Program Manager in daily program management, work allocation and followingup of project activities
● Assist Program Manager and coordinate with other team member in checking quarterlyreports (program, finance, M&E) from partners and provide feedbacks
● Assist Program Manager for preparing donors reports and CPI project reports
● Arrange to organize the meetings and trainings in coordination with other units andother programs as needed
● Ensure that the relevant information is shared/communicated between CPI and localpartners for timely project execution of the project and reporting
● Participate in program monitoring visits together with other program team members
● Support in administrative, finance, procurement and logistical management of the project
● Other relevant duties assigned by Program Manager
Partner Support
● Support and mentoring partners in development, implementation and review of effectiveproject interventions based on cultural and situational appropriate adaptations ofinternational best practices
● Enhance the capacity of local partners to ensure successful implementation of the program
● Coordinate and support the development and implementation of a cohesive plan forsupporting program activities at each partner organization
● Regular coordination with partner staffs and provide supports as needed
Capacity Building and Supporting other Staff
● Work closely with the finance team and program staff to prepare monthly, quarterly andannual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, and to ensure all program expenses arewithin budget and have appropriate supporting documentation, including receipts
Operations and Administration
● Assist Program Manager in operation tasks together with other support staff
Organization Representation
● Represent CPI in partner, donor and other stakeholder meetings
● Establish, strengthen and sustain the good relationships/ coordination with donoragencies, implementing partners and other relevant organizations
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
● Any bachelor’s degree holder , or equivalent work experience
● Minimum four years’ experience in health projects / similar position
● Fluent in written and spoken English and Burmese
● Good knowledge of written and spoken Kayin is preferable
● Good communication and facilitations skills
● Experience of working in a multicultural, low-resource setting and mentoring/ coaching
