Sidekick is a content-driven agency for social change. We work with International non-profit Organizations, UN agencies and local Social Enterprises to develop cutting edge media research, virtual events and campaigns to tackle the most pressing issues within Southeast Asia.
We are looking for someone who wants to understand complex issues
First and foremost we are looking for a communicator who won’t shy away from reading and writing complex issues because at Sidekick we work on causes ranging from climate change, access to education, animal rights to human trafficking and gender equality.
Make the complex Clear, Concise & Compelling
Effective communications can make all the difference in the success of a project. Through various communication styles, such as storytelling and the use of visuals, your goal will be to ensure that you can deliver clear, concise and compelling messages to clients and key stakeholders.
Use technology. You are able to identify digital tools and applications to start conversations or display important data - giving you the ability to resonate further with your audience.
Qualifications
Thai National
Excellent written English language skills - able to fluently and confidently communicate via email, write summaries and present stories/research findings fluently in English.
Three - five years of experience working in an agency/editorial environment or part of a communications department/unit.
Passion for the written word
Follow current events with knowledge and interest not just on social justice issues but also know your way around current trends and social media best practices.
Industry-relevant majors such as journalism, English, or media studies.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead internal communications process by collecting and summarising status information updates from each team through creative methods.
Communicate project information to managers and clients in a clear and concise way utilizing visualization and digital tools.
Liaise and negotiate with clients and stakeholders, finding out what they want and how you can help them.
Facilitate effective collaboration through communication strategies, processes and managing production timelines.
Organising events to promote key messages and client activities.
Working alongside visual designers, copywriters, video producers and external agencies to ensure product quality.
Monitoring web, email and social media analytics and reporting to managers.
