Malteser International is a German non-governmental organization providing humanitarian assistance and development aid for people in need in over 20 countries. Malteser International is currently working with temporary refugee shelters and surrounding villages in Sob-Moei district, Mae Hong Son province in Thailand. Our office located in Mae Sariang is looking for an efficient, motivated and experienced Thai national for the position as Procurement and Logistic Assistant

Procurement and Logistic Assistant

Duty Station: Mae Sariang town, Mae Hong Son province

Work locations: Mae Sariang and Sob-Moei Districts within the field

Duration: Until July 2022

Salary range: 20,000 – 22,000 THB (+benefits)

Main Responsibilities and Duties

1. Coordinate materials request from camps and initialize procurement process after receiving approval.

2. Follow-up processing of requests with logistic department to ensure priority requests/timely delivery.

3. Flagging and reporting delays in processing through weekly feedback to supervisor.

4. Check quality and quantity of materials received and coordinate proper delivery of materials to the field locations with proper use of waybill system.

5. Correct use and proper filing of MI standard forms in logistic operations.

6. Conduct physical inventory of stock items in the shelters and office warehouse, update stock card, and report discrepancy to supervisor.

7. Follow up damaged/malfunctioning equipment and the maintenance and repair requests.

8. Organize and monitor the renovations/constructions of MI-operated facilities.

9. Ensure camp stock facilities are clean and safe with all relevant documentation up to date.

10. Perform such other duties that may be assigned.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

1. Diploma or higher education with previous experience on procurement and stock management.

2. Experience working along the Thai/Burma border is an asset.

3. Meticulous and good with numbers.

4. Valid driving license and experience driving in rural areas.

5. Fluent in Thai and Sgaw Karen (speaking/listening), and good command in English.

6. Computer skills in mainly MS words, and MS Excel.

7. Willingness to travel to remote areas and work at flexible hours.
