Community Partners International (CPI) is a U.S. nonprofit organization working in partnership with conflict-affected, hard-to-reach and underserved communities in Southeast Asia to expand access to quality health services and generate the resources, local capacity and coordination necessary to meet their own health, learning, and development needs. CPI’s Asian headquarters are located in Yangon, Myanmar, and the organization maintains field offices throughout Myanmar.

 

Having a considerable gap in service provision, people living in hard-to-reach areas are prone to health disasters such as disease outbreaks. Hence, CPI aims to address such health inequalities with COVID-19 response, prevention & control. The project intends to work closely with local implementing partners and stakeholders so that beneficiaries there receive quality health services.

 

Regular Responsibilities

  • Assist Program Manager for preparing donors reports and CPI project reports
  • Assist Program Manager in daily program management, work allocation and following up of project activities
  • Ensure program trainings are well prepared, conducted and prepare training reports
  • Prepare monthly cash projection and work-plan with supervision from Program Manager
  • With support from logistic team, ensure stock transactions are properly made and equipments are well monitored and maintained
  • With support from finance team, ensure program expenses are in line with CPI’s internal control
  • Attached at partners office and day by day supporting projects
  • Ensure that the relevant information is shared/communicated between CPI and local partners for timely project execution of the project and reporting
  • Be a focal of coordination between CPI and partner offices
  • Support in administrative, finance, procurement and logistical management of the project
  • Other relevant duties assigned by the Program Manager

 

Partner Support

  • Provide both logistic and technical support to local partners
  • Participate and help program manager in technical trainings for partners when relevant
  • Do regular supportive visits to partner areas and provide coaching when relevant
  • Participate in assessment, survey and research conducted by CPI’s partners (if necessary)
  • Facilitate in the process of report preparation by collecting, compiling and analyzing regular reports of CPI’s local partners
  • Supporting in project micro plan and detail planning of the implementation areas
  • Do registration and tracking of purchased assets and inventories

 

Representation

  • Represent CPI in the technical meetings conducted by donors or other partner organizations
  • Represent CPI in community level during supportive visits
  • Able to act as representative of CPI by having overview knowledge in all projects of CPI and their vision, mission and objectives
  • Coordinate and conduct advocacy to local authorities, other international and local organizations

 

Essential Skills

  • University degree in Health and Public health related with a diploma and/or background knowledge on social work preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years practical experience in health projects/similar position in an international organization
  • Good presentation skills, writing and analytical skills; with fluency on both written and spoken English
  • Excellent software skills for MS Word, Excel, Power point (statistical software preferred)
  • Demonstrated skills in community engagement, training, planning, monitoring and evaluation
  • Ability to quickly develop a strong understanding of the local cultural and political context and be able to motivate others and work successfully within these contexts
  • Proven experiences and strong knowledge on working in ethnic areas
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders with different cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and to undertake regular field visits including hard-to-reach areas
