Consultant for Fundraising (Institutional and P&P) and Partnership Development

ActionAid International Thailand envisages its robust plan to invest for fundraising and partnership development in both development and humanitarian sectors in Thailand. In order to achieve its mission on financial sustainability, AAT is urgently looking for a consultant to work on organisational resource mobilisation and partnership development priority, who will play a key role in achieving its financial resource growth ambitions. The consultant will work closely with Country Team as well as different teams of ActionAid International to help raise fund from institutional donors, the private sector, and the government as well as profile organisations in the wider environment.

Duration
6 months with possibility of extension based on need and satisfactory performance.
Objectives
Seek and maximise opportunities for required funding from a variety of sources, including institutional donors, the private sector, and government agencies.
Assist and contribute to the Country Model transitioning process with resource mobilisation and partnership efforts.
Strengthen the capacity of the in-country Team to acquire and sustain fundraising from different sources.
Enhance country profile through strong and active networking with donors/stakeholders and branding with visibility.
Responsibilities of the consultant
Conduct donor scoping aligned with AAT’s current programme priorities – Education, and Humanitarian Response and Resilience building.
Develop a donor communication plan for 2022 based on the target plan of fundraising.
Develop a concept note/proposal/expression of interests (EOI) as per donor and organisations’ requirements.
Revise the fundraising strategy and plan as required for institutional partnerships.
Work with AAT team, different entities in ActionAid International Federation and other local/international organisations to identify and develop appropriate grant opportunities.
As part of donor communication, document and share good practices of AAT programmes to build the profile of the organisation.
Develop different marketing materials of AAT programmes and campaigns to use in different communication channels.
Assist conducting due diligence to facilitate project proposal development.
Support in piloting fundraising innovations around education, and humanitarian response and resilience building in Thailand.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in social sciences, development studies, international relation, law, or related field.
Sound experience working in NGOs/UN agencies/CSO’s in Thailand or the ASEAN region would be an asset.
Proven experience and knowledge on institutional/philanthropy fundraising, especially proposal/concept note/expression of interest (EOI) development.
Good skill in networking and partnership with donors, corporates, UN agencies, and INGOs.
Good knowledge on different actors working on youth, women and social businesses in Thailand and the region.
Experience in programme, fundraising and partnership development.
Strong social commitment, analytical, writing and research skills, and interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Ability to work and live in a multi-cultural environment.
Fluency in English, Thai language will be an asset.
Consultancy Rates and Payment Agreement
Negotiable
Code of Conduct
The consultant shall abide by ActionAid’s Code of Conduct during the duration of the contract. The consultant shall also abide by ActionAid’s Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse (SHEA) and other safeguarding related policies including the Overarching SHEA and Safeguarding Policy, the Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Policy, the Child Safeguarding Policy, and the Sexual Harassment Exploitation and Abuse at Work Policy. The consultant shall also abide by other core ActionAid policies such as the Anti-Corruption, Bribery and Fraud policy and the Anti-Terrorist Funding policy. Breaches of any of these policies may lead to termination of the contract. Details of those policies will be provided upon request.
