Terms of Reference: Consultancy on Project Assistant
Duration: 1 April 2022 - 31 March 2023

Summary of Assignment:
We are looking for a consultant with organizational and interpersonal skills to support the Oxfam regional projects on key food value chains including seafood processors and traders headquartered and operational in Asia to address inequality, reduce poverty, empower women and increase the resilience of fisherfolk, workers and aquaculture farmers.
The consultant will provide logistics and administrative support to Oxfam Asia Regional Platform’s 2 projects 1) Regional Seafood Project 2) Regional Fair4 All project, the works include;
Research
- Support coordination and administration with partners and stakeholders on key research projects and studies.
Regional and national meetings
- Lead on the coordination and administration on meetings/trainings and public forums in national and regional level.
Grant to partners
- Support in coordination and quality check on grant to partners reports.
Others
- Lead the procurement process with consultants and suppliers e.g. translator, lawyers
- Support on data collection for reporting.
- Note-taking
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with CSO partners and stakeholders
- Lead in administrative and logistic preparation for workshops, meetings and events
- Feed in ideas to support development of project activity and work plan
- Closely work with Project Coordinators on budget planning, payment and grant to partner e.g. budget estimation for meetings, workshops and/or events.
- Ensure smooth procurement and payment process
- Prepare activity report and notes from workshops, meetings and events, as well as gather relevant information and maintain registration
- Facilitate the development and collecting of database from workshops and/or events to support project evaluation
- Provide desktop research and analyses on relevant topics under ongoing Food Justice Programme working scope to support Oxfam’s and influencing work as required
Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Strong interpersonal, coordination and management skills
- At least 2-year experience in administrative work or show competence with strong management skills in required tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively in Thai and English
- Able to work independently; possess problem solving skills; good interpersonal skills
- Strong MS Words and Excel skills
- Ability to travel to other provinces for work
Desirable
- University degree in public administration, business administration, international development or related fields.
- Knowledge about sustainability in seafood and corn’s supply is an asset but not necessary.
