The Freedom Fund has a deep commitment to the safety and protection of all children, women and men in communities where we work. The organisation recognizes the particular risks faced by children and adults in vulnerable circumstances, the difficulties they face in reporting harm they experience, and also their right to be free from violence, abuse and exploitation. The Freedom Fund has safeguarding measures in place in order to promote the safety, protection and well-being of anyone via its implementing partners. The Freedom Fund is seeking a highly skilled safeguarding specialist, with experience in developing and implementing organizational safeguarding policies and reporting/disclosure procedures. The aim of this consultancy is to enhance the capacity of Freedom Fund partners in Thailand on the implementation of their safeguarding frameworks and related procedures. Specifically, the consultant is expected to support the partners on the followings:
Overall, the consultant must ensure the delivery of services in close coordination with the London Safeguarding Manager and Safeguarding Focal Point of Freedom Fund for Thailand as well as the Freedom Fund partners in Thailand. About the consultancy The scope of the consultancy will depend on safeguarding priorities and needs of the Freedom Fund partners. To ensure partners ownership of the process, we would like locally funded partners to lead on the development of a Safeguarding capacity building plan, with technical oversight from the consultant and the Freedom Fund Safeguarding Manager. Freedom Fund aims to engage a consultant to support partner organisations in strengthening existing or creating safeguarding capacity and procedures in program management, and to ensure all relevant staff have the capacity to design and deliver program activities to the required safeguarding and protection standards. As such we are currently envisaging a maximum of 53 days (see breakdown below) over the 8-months period (May-December 2022). The role will be based in Thailand. Travel to the Bangkok, Samut Sakhon, Songkhla, Pattani and Phang Nga is required. Due to covid-19 restrictions, some work may be conducted remotely. Qualifications and experience The Freedom Fund seeks an energetic, thoughtful and committed consultant. The successful candidate will have experience in providing and/or coordinating support to local organizations.
