+ frequent business trips in the province and south Thailand

Salary: 20’000 THB

Working conditions:

Starting date: 1st May 2022 (flexible)

Working days: Monday to Friday

Working hours: 8:30 to 17:30 (with one hour lunch break)

Ranong Recycle for Environment is a registered social enterprise specialised in the collection, sorting and resale of plastic waste for recycling and is supervised by the Swiss Jan & Oscar Foundation.

The main goals of the enterprise are:

• to support the concept of a circular economy,
• to offer local minorities, Moken people and Burmese migrants, employment opportunities and a source of income,
• to raise awareness about plastic pollution, recycling and other environmental issues through an educational program in schools (waste banks and workshops) and projects with local communities

Your role will be to develop this last aspect in close collaboration with our partner #tide ocean material® who are specialised in upcycling ocean-bound plastic.

Key responsibilities

• Develop plastic pollution and recycling awareness workshops dedicated to local communities, in collaboration with #tide ocean material
• Conduct workshops with children and teenagers in the partner schools of our educational program
• Conduct workshops with adults at village meetings and temples
• Develop the network of schools and local communities of our project, in the province of Ranong, and later in other provinces of Thailand
• Share the company's missions and workshops on social media (Facebook and Instagram) and share content with #tide’s social media manager
• Communicate with #Tide Ocean Material on your work, write reports in English and keep account of your budget
• Work in collaboration with the Jan & Oscar Foundation and Ranong Recycle teams, and support them when needed
• Be opened to training and empowerment of your colleagues
• Other tasks as assigned by the Project managers
