The Stockholm Environment Institute’s Asia Centre is conducting a research project “Understanding Consumption over the Life Course”. This study aims to understand how sustainable consumption is understood and acted on and how it changes over the course of one’s life. The study focuses on consumption and behavior in the transportation sector.
The study area is in Samphanthawong District of Bangkok, and our target research participants are the elderly population (60+ years old). The survey is designed to collect data of general demographic information, consumption pattern, and transportation needs. The structure of the questionnaire includes but is not limited to multiple choices, short answers, ranking and Linkert scale. The survey will be done on SurveyMonkey, on a tablet or smart phone.
We are looking for 5 enumerators to help administer our survey to elderly citizens living in the Samphanthawong District, Bangkok. The enumerators will be required to participate in half-day orientation and training (tentative date: June 13th) before starting the data collection process in the study area independently during June 14th - 24th, 2022 (tentative, exact dates to be confirmed). Enumerators will be required to go door-to-door, and sit with participants to help them read, understand, and answer the questions. Each enumerator is required to conduct at least 72 interviews over a 9-day period. The interview will take approximately 45 minutes per person to complete.
Compensation: THB 1,200/day for 9.5 days (total THB 11,400) per enumerator
