Lanna CRC's coordinator (1 position)
The Life Skills Development Foundation (TLSDF) as the secretariat of Lanna Child Rights Coalition (L-CRC) is currently seeking one Lanna CRC’s coordinator place in TLSDF’s office in Chiang Mai, Thailand. By becoming part of our team, you can work with a strong child rights-focused CSO network and several groups of child rights youth activists (CRYA) in upper northern Thailand supporting them to advocate for their entitled rights as prescribed in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN CRC) and its three optional protocols. In this position, you can also engage in a fruitful exchange of child rights expertise in National and International innovative and progressive networks such as CRC Thailand, CRC Asia, and Child Rights Connect.
Role and responsibilities
Lanna CRC's coordinator's role is to coordinate and manage the project called ‘Strengthen and Empower the Lanna Child Rights Coalition (LCRC) as a network to advocate for Child Rights promotion and protection. Working with and for the LCRC member organizations as a secretariat team member to enable the child rights thematic working groups to conduct their individual and collective core missions that promote and protect child rights with inclusive participation of the child rights youth activists (CRYA).
His or Her main responsibilities are.
1. Set detailed activities to plan in carrying out LCRC secretariat tasks, and LCRC program's activities, follow up and evaluate its progress against the scheduled tasks and activities.
2. Coordinate with prioritized LCRC’s child rights thematic working groups and member organizations including child rights youth activist groups (CRYA) in organizing activities as planned.
3. Supervise other project personnel regarding LCRC secretariat tasks and the LCRC program's activities
4. Prepare all the required official letters and reports
5. Coordinate and operate with relevant government agencies regarding LCRC secretariat tasks, and the LCRC program's activities
6. Onsite monitoring with LCRC’s child rights thematic working groups and member organizations.
7. Provide designed sessions facilitation as planned
8. Conduct training and facilitation sessions with LCRC’s secretariat team members as planned.
Requirements
The first contract is offered from October 2022 until September 2023 with the possibility of to extend. The duty station is in Chiang Mai.
