Background
Napneung is a collaborative research project led by the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences at Chiang Mai University. It is funded by L’Initiative - Expertise France. The Project Coordinating Center is based in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Objectives of the consultancy
The overall objective of this consultancy is to generate positive evidence regarding the implementation of the Napneung project to support advocacy for its integration in local systems. Specific objectives are to document Napneung project lessons learned, good practices, and innovations to support advocacy.
Deliverables
The selected consultant will be responsible for the preparation of the following deliverables:
Final project workplan
Presentation of preliminary findings regarding lessons learned, good practices, and innovations
Final report for publication
PowerPoint slides
The report will include a short introduction, a description of the methodology, a presentation of the key findings, as well as recommendations for consideration. The report will include annexes that cover interview questions and a list of key informants as well as other relevant materials.
All deliverables will be submitted in English, though the consultancy firm should have capacity to collect data in Thai language.
Tasks
The consultancy firm will be responsible for implementation of the following tasks:
Attending the inception meeting with the Napneung team
Submission of the workplan
Conducting a desk review of relevant materials
Conducting key informant interviews with Napneung staff
Conducting key informant interviews with external stakeholders
Conducting focus-group discussions with beneficiaries
Analyzing data
Presenting preliminary results
Preparing lessons learned report
Preparing slides
Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience of international experience in communications and advocacy
At least 5 years of experience working on HIV-related health communications
Effective facilitator capable of engaging audiences
Demonstrated capacity to collect and analyze large amount of qualitative data
Demonstrated capacity to publish high-quality reports to support advocacy
Understanding of the national HIV response in Thailand will be considered an asset
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Capacity to work under pressure
Fluency in English and capacity to work in multi-cultural settings
