A US environmental consulting firm invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of:
for a five-year regional program of the United States Agency for International Development, based at the consulting firm’s office in Bangkok.
The Accountant will provide assistance to management and senior staff providing financial monitoring and management support. S/he will assist in the closing of monthly accounts and preparing financial statements for submission to Tetra Tech Headquarters and reconciling and reviewing expense accounts and ensuring that proper clearance procedures have been followed. The Accountant will be responsible for reviewing various accounting transactions, e. g., payroll, grants, final payments, travel claims, etc., assisting in the processing of payments to suppliers/subcontractors and vendors for goods and services; reconciling bank statements for all funds in foreign and local currencies; serving as Approving Officer for disbursements up to an authorized level; keeping up-to-date on documents/reports/guidelines/audit files in an appropriate manner; and performing inventory and property purchase report monthly reconciliation.
The qualified candidate should meet the following requirements:
Excellent spoken and written English
University Degree in accounting finance or similar field
Minimum of three years in equivalent position
Experience with QuickBooks is required
Ability to work under pressure in a multi-cultural work environment and with minimum supervision
Citizen of Thailand
