A US environmental consulting firm invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of:
for a five-year regional program of the United States Agency for International Development, based at the consulting firm’s office in Bangkok.
The Administration & Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the financial, administrative and human resources management of the program and providing oversight of the administrative support team. S/he will manage the preparation and submission of monthly expenditure reports; maintain and update project accounting and financial control systems; manage the preparation and submission of monthly fund and quarterly pipeline projections; and ensure all transactions are appropriately recorded in QuickBooks and that Tetra Tech accounting and payment standards and procedures are followed and implemented. S/he will oversee all elements of Human Resources management including compliance with Thai laws and Tetra Tech policies; prepare contracts for employees and consultants; and prepare and manage payments to consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.. The Admin and Finance Manager will coordinate purchases of office equipment, furniture, supplies, services, etc. in full compliance with Tetra Tech and USAID policies, procedures and regulations and maintain overall responsibility to develop, maintain, and report on property inventory and management. S/he will reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis; issue cash advances for travel, and ensure that they are properly reconciled with complete expense reports; and manage payment of project payroll.
The qualified candidate should meet the following requirements:
Excellent spoken and written English
University Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or similar field
Minimum of ten years in equivalent position
Experience working with USAID
Strong knowledge and experience of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with QuickBooks or similar software
Ability to work under pressure in a multi-cultural work environment and with minimum supervision
