A US environmental consulting firm invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of:
for a five-year regional program of the United States Agency for International Development, based at the consulting firm’s office in Bangkok.
The Communications & Outreach Specialist will be responsible for leading communications and outreach efforts for the program. S/he will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications and outreach strategy; leading the development of communications and outreach mechanisms and materials to further advance project outreach priorities including mobilization of government and public support; planning and conducting project launches and media events; creating communications products for the range of stakeholder needs; and managing the project web page and social media platforms. H/she will be responsible for preparing regular Quarterly, Annual and other reports; and drafting talking points, speeches press releases, presentation and other materials as needed. The Communications and Outreach Specialist will be responsible for developing success stories and content for use in U.S. Government publications such as the USAID Facebook page, USAID Impact Blog, etc.; developing and applying a Branding and Marking Plan to be used for all communication activities and events that complies with USAID regulations; and traveling to program countries to execute responsibilities as needed.
The qualified candidate should meet the following requirements:
Superb spoken and written English
University Degree in Communications, Journalism or similar field
Minimum of seven years in equivalent position
Experience working on USAID-funded projects
Ability to comply with ADS Branding and Marking Requirements
Ability to work under pressure in a multi-cultural work environment and with minimum supervision
