English Teacher

We are looking for a highly qualified, motivated and dynamic English teacher. Ideally, we would like applicants to have the following attributes:
1. Thai nationality Male or female aged 25 years or older.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in English or related fields.
3. Energetic and experienced in teaching or working with children at least 1 year.
4. Excellent command of English listening, speaking, reading and writing relevant teaching experience.
5. Knowledge of relevant technology.

Responsibilities
1. Follow the regulation of teacher.
2. Teach in Primary classes scheduled by the school.
3. Prepare the teaching plan, write the teaching report and submit to the department of academic affairs.
4. Make teaching materials for classes.
5. Set up activities for the students.
6. Exhibit his/her students’ works according to the teaching unit.
7. Other tasks assigned by his/her superior.

Skills and abilities
1. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
2. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
3. Self-belief and the ability to maintain discipline.
4. Ability to priorities and management time effectively.
5. Ability to work as part of a team.
6. Ability to solve problems involving sensitivity or conflict.
7. Must have proficiency in MS Office Applications and relevant technology.

Interpreter/Translator (Main office)

The Starfish Country Home School Foundation is seeking an Interpreter/Translator for responsible translating all documents of Starfish Country Home School Foundation both English to Thai and Thai to English as assigned from the departments or from the chief executive officer.

Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for translating all documents of Starfish Country Home School Foundation both English to Thai and Thai to English.
2. Responsible for interpreting during the school’s activities and the conversations in the meeting
3. Responsible for teaching and interpreting in the classroom, as requested by the Head of the Departments or the by the Executive Officer in case the teacher cannot do so.
4. Responsible for creating instructional media as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or Supervisors.
5. Communicate and stay in contact with foreign officials or volunteers from both internal and external organizations.
6. Other relevant duties assigned by The Chief Executive Officer or the Supervisors of the foundation.

Minimum Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree in any field, Art (English)/ Translation are preferred.
2. Male or female aged 25 years or older.
3. Previous experience in translation and interpretation English-Thai, and vice versa at least 1 year.
4. Excellent command of English listening, speaking, reading and writing.
5. Diligence, endurance, honesty, accountability and being able to work with children.

Manager of Starfish Home Daycare Chiangmai

Job Functions:
As manager of the Starfish Home Daycare Chiangmai, the incumbent will oversee all aspects of the daycare’s operations, which includes management of the daycare’s curriculum in collaboration with the foundation’s. Determines standards and takes appropriate steps to measure and maintain reasonable performance and professional growth among immediate subordinates and all professional employees. Consciously works to establish an atmosphere of team building and planning.

Skills and abilities
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, preferably in Early Childhood or any related field. - Master’s Degree in Educational Administration.
- Experience in teaching children in Kindergarten.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Thai.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Understanding of management principles.
- A flexible and creative thinker.
- Experience in working with children such as being a volunteer or working for an NGO or charitable organization is preferred.
