Organisational Setting
The Mae Tao Clinic (MTC) is an internationally renowned community-based organisation (CBO) that provides and advocates for an equitable and essential health system, education and protection for vulnerable and displaced people living in the Thai-Burma border area and Eastern Burma. MTC addresses the needs and human rights of these people through comprehensive programs and a collaborative approach with local, national, international and government bodies.
Role Summary
The IT staff member will be responsible for the MTC IT systems and infrastructure - managing new projects, operating the existing services, and supporting the MTC users and visitors.

Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain new hardware, including laptops, desktops, printers, projectors and network equipment. (upgrade OS, antivirus, updates, clean up hardware)
- Troubleshoot problems with MTC systems, networks and equipment, including hardware and software
- Maintain appropriate IT Policies for use of the MTC IT systems and network
- Repair equipment where possible or refer to relevant supplier/service agent
- Schedule a regular equipment maintenance, including software management
- Maintain, monitor and act as main contact for Network and Google systems, and support new users
- Monitor MTC Network performance
- Also monitor and record all warranty dates for new equipment
- Provide MTC users with computer and network skills training.
Criteria
- Vocational certificate in computers and/ or electronics and willing to work in Mae Sot, Tak Province.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in IT is required (preferably with NGO or private company).
- Proficiency in MS Office packages and Google for work, , good understanding of local networking, security and Internet is required
- Knowledge of PC hardware and Firewalls are considered as a strong advantage
- Strong troubleshooting abilities, especially in networking
- Strong hardware deployment/repair skills
- MCP Certification is preferred
- Proficient in Burmese and English. Knowledge of Thai and/or Karen is a plus
- Having a good understanding of support, and willingness to support all staff on ICT issues
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural, and international team and networking skills.
