Business Development Officer – Base in Koh Samui, Suratthani Province

Introduction

Flight of the Gibbon, the leading multinational eco-tour company based in Chiang Mai, Thailand seeks a visionary Business Development Officer to take sales to a new level.  As the new Business Development Officer, you will be at the forefront of developing sales for our new zipline location in Koh Phangan.  Key job tasks / duties / responsibilities of the Business Development Officer include, but are not limited to, developing relationships with agencies in the Surat Thani province, predominantly Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao targeting key tourist markets for the region.   You will be required to engage agents to sell our zipline canopy tour package and cross sell with our other locations.  The role also requires the successful applicant to use their intuition and think outside the box to develop sales through various mediums.

Reports to: Regional Sales Director

Job Description

To achieve monthly and annual sales targets

Collect, Analyze and provide accurate and timely reports and forecast so as to provide a clear insight into progress made towards target

Understand the customer’s needs and expectations and form long term business partnership

Develop a focused sales and activity plan

Assist in the running of specific sales and market campaigns

Effectively communicate promotions and tour information to customers and Agents

Daily use of the CRM to ensure sales and marketing data is kept up to date and accurate

Able to work independently and as a valued team member

Participate in inter-departmental meetings and activities to meet goals

Your Profile

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent preferred, 5+ years work experience with an emphasis in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Management, Tourism etc. or related field

Possesses strong written and oral communication skills, creative, enthusiasm, and interpersonal skills

PC skills with emphasis in MS Office; (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)

CRM knowledge and experience is preferable

Ability to meet deadlines consistently, works well under pressure

Strong communication & presentation skills

Maintains the highest ethics and integrity

Must be organized, able to multi-task and to handle competing demands in a fast-paced environment

Detail oriented with proven analytical and accuracy skills

Other Skills/Abilities

Basic understanding/knowledge of networking and local travel industry is beneficial 

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
