The ICRC Regional Delegation in Bangkok is looking for candidates for a:
Junior Trainer / Facilitator, based in Bangkok (2015)
As a team member of the Learning and Development Regional Unit for Asia and the Pacific, the junior trainer co-facilitates in-house staff training courses both in Thailand and abroad in cooperation with other trainers of the unit.
Main duties and responsibilities
• Delivers training courses covering staff induction, team management and leadership, communication, and other relevant topics in cooperation with other trainers in the team.
• Assists in participant follow up before and after Face-to-Face training sessions.
• Co-develops course content in accordance with learning and development module designs.
• Co-conducts Learning Needs Analyses for ICRC staff members within the region.
Minimum required knowledge and experience:
• Excellent communication skills in English, including public speaking, presentation skills and drafting of complex texts in English
• Work experience: experience/training in public speaking/acting/anchoring will be a very important asset
• Training experience is an important asset; strong willingness to further develop training competences
• Some experience in team leadership and management would be an asset
• Interest in adult education and humanitarian affairs
• University degree or equivalent: Bachelors or higher, for instance, but not exclusively, in Communication, Acting/Drama, Education, Business, Psychology, etc.
• Strong intercultural skills: openness to and tolerance of different cultures, religions and opinions
• Fluent command of spoken and written English; other languages are an asset (the main working language is English)
• International experience is a definite asset
• Very good computer skills
• Ability to manage groups in an efficient and friendly manner
• Displaying initiative and creativity
• Availability for frequent travel in the region and beyond, including irregular working hours
