EDUCATION OFFICER
Catholic Office for Emergency Relief and Refugees (COERR), a Thai NGO under the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Thailand (CBCT) was established in 1978 for the purpose of bringing aid to displaced persons in Thailand and those affected by natural disasters.
COERR is urgently looking for an experienced personnel to fill the post of education officer, based in Bangkok
TERMS OF REFERENCE
Provide administrative support to the teaching staff.
Assist in collecting, reviewing and keeping of receipts, documents or records issued by public schools and learning centers/institutes as the supporting documents for further payment.
Prepare inventory and requisition of school supplies and materials used for classrooms, and in keeping files and records of the students.
Maintain and update a student database and monthly and yearly statistics on the number of students at all levels at both BRC Learning Center and local public and private schools and the education services and assistance availed by them.
Take responsibility for facilitating placement of children in public schools and ensuring the smooth enrolment process.
Coordinate with school authorities and visit schools to monitor and follow up the progress of students studying in public and private schools.
Act as a substitute teacher when the need arises.
Perform other duties necessary and relevant to the education needs of refugee students.
QUALIFICATIONS
Thai national
Bachelor degree of Education or Business Administration with minimum one or two year work experience
Good communication and organizational abilities are required, particularly in multi-lingual settings
Good computer skills (Word, Excel and MS office family)
Ability to work under pressure and strong team work

A THAI TEACHER
Catholic Office for Emergency Relief and Refugees (COERR), a Thai NGO under the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Thailand (CBCT) was established in 1978 for the purpose of bringing aid to displaced persons in Thailand and those affected by natural disasters.
COERR is urgently looking for an experienced personnel to fill the post of Thai Teacher, based in Bangkok
TERMS OF REFERENCE
Teach Thai as a Second Language, primarily to children 6-17 years old, studying at Bangkok Refugee Learning Center.
Teach Reading, Writing, Conversation, Listening, and Grammar; and integrate concepts and ideas relevant to the refugees’ survival and cultural orientation and understanding.
Perform teaching duties to assigned classes and levels; be responsible for developing and preparing lesson plans, teaching aids, conducting tests, recording the progress and attendance of every student.
Ensure the active involvement of students in the learning process.
Introduce, conduct and oversee extra-curricular and recreational activities.
Perform relevant and necessary recreational and special events upon request.
Submit student progress and accomplishment reports.
Perform other duties necessary and relevant to the education needs of students.
QUALIFICATIONS
B.E. or B.A., majoring in primary education
Minimum one year experience in Thai teaching
Experience in Literacy Program is highly desirable
Excellent communication and organizational abilities are required, particularly in multi - lingual settings
Good command of spoken and written both in Thai and English
Open-mindedness, ability to work under pressure and strong team building skills
