Job Description: Intelligence Analyst (Mae Sot, Thailand)

Position Overview

The Global Counter-Trafficking Group (GCG) are seeking a highly motivated Intelligence Analyst to work with our partner NGO Global Alms in Mae Sot, Thailand. This role focuses on researching and analyzing information related to scam centers operating along the Thailand–Myanmar border. The analyst will play a key role in collecting, verifying, and interpreting data to support ongoing efforts to understand the structure, scale, and impact of these operations.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, fluent in both Thai and English, and comfortable working independently while coordinating closely with NGO staff and local law enforcement partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Collection & Management
  • Gather, organize, and maintain information related to scam centers, including mapping their locations, identifying associated companies, and estimating the number of victims.
  • Compile open-source and partner-provided data into structured formats.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of collected information.
• Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze trends and patterns in scam center activity.
  • Prepare written reports and visualizations (tables, charts, and maps) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support decision-making by presenting clear, actionable intelligence.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Liaise with Thai law enforcement agencies and other relevant partners in a professional and collaborative manner.
  • Share findings with the NGO team and provide insights that contribute to advocacy, awareness, and intervention strategies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Language Proficiency: Native or fluent in Thai; fluent in English (both written and spoken).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to create and manage databases, spreadsheets, and reports.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to evaluate information, identify key insights, and present findings clearly.
• Interpersonal Skills: Comfortable working with law enforcement, NGOs, and victims; able to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity.
• Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Location & Work Environment

• Location: Mae Sot, Thailand
• Work Setting: Field-based, with a mix of office work, data analysis, and coordination with local partners.
• Reporting: The analyst will report to the NGO’s field coordinator or designated manager.

Compensation

• Salary: 20,000 baht

หน้าที่หลักคือการวิจัยและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวข้องกับศูนย์หลอกลวง (scam centers) ซึ่งดำเนินการตามแนวชายแดนไทย–เมียนมา ผู้ดำรงตำแหน่งนี้จะมีบทบาทสำคัญในการเก็บ รวบรวม ตรวจสอบ และตีความข้อมูล เพื่อสนับสนุนความพยายามในการทำความเข้าใจโครงสร้าง ขอบเขต และผลกระทบของการดำเนินงานดังกล่าว

ผู้สมัครที่เหมาะสมควรมีความละเอียดรอบคอบ สามารถใช้ภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษได้อย่างคล่องแคล่ว และสามารถทำงานอย่างอิสระ รวมถึงทำงานประสานกับเจ้าหน้าที่ NGO และเจ้าหน้าที่บังคับใช้กฎหมายไทยได้เป็นอย่างดี

หน้าที่และความรับผิดชอบหลัก

• การเก็บรวบรวมและจัดการข้อมูล
  • เก็บ รวบรวม และจัดระบบข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวข้องกับศูนย์หลอกลวง รวมถึงการทำแผนที่ตำแหน่ง ระบุชื่อบริษัทที่เกี่ยวข้อง และประมาณจำนวนผู้เสียหาย
  • จัดทำข้อมูลที่ได้จากแหล่งสาธารณะ (open-source) และพันธมิตรในรูปแบบที่มีโครงสร้างชัดเจน
  • ตรวจสอบความถูกต้อง ความสมบูรณ์ และความสม่ำเสมอของข้อมูลที่รวบรวม
• การวิเคราะห์และรายงานข้อมูล
  • วิเคราะห์แนวโน้มและรูปแบบของกิจกรรมในศูนย์หลอกลวง
  • จัดทำรายงานเป็นลายลักษณ์อักษร พร้อมตาราง แผนภูมิ และแผนที่ สำหรับผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสีย
  • สนับสนุนการตัดสินใจด้วยการนำเสนอข้อมูลเชิงวิเคราะห์ที่ชัดเจนและนำไปใช้ได้จริง
• การประสานงานกับผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้อง
  • ประสานงานกับเจ้าหน้าที่บังคับใช้กฎหมายไทยและพันธมิตรที่เกี่ยวข้องในลักษณะวิชาชีพและร่วมมือกัน
  • แบ่งปันผลการวิเคราะห์กับทีม NGO และให้ข้อเสนอแนะที่สนับสนุนการรณรงค์ การสร้างความตระหนักรู้ และกลยุทธ์การแทรกแซง

คุณสมบัติและทักษะที่จำเป็น

• ทักษะด้านภาษา: ภาษาไทยระดับเจ้าของภาษา หรือใกล้เคียงเจ้าของภาษา และภาษาอังกฤษคล่องแคล่ว (ทั้งการพูดและการเขียน)
• ทักษะด้านเทคนิค: ใช้งาน Microsoft Word และ Excel ได้ดี สามารถสร้างและจัดการฐานข้อมูล ตารางคำนวณ และรายงานได้
• ทักษะการวิเคราะห์: สามารถประเมินข้อมูล ระบุประเด็นสำคัญ และนำเสนอผลการวิเคราะห์อย่างชัดเจน
• ทักษะระหว่างบุคคล: สามารถทำงานร่วมกับเจ้าหน้าที่บังคับใช้กฎหมาย NGO และผู้เสียหายได้ดี โดยรักษาความลับและความอ่อนไหวของข้อมูล
• ความสามารถในการทำงานอิสระ: ทำงานได้ด้วยตนเองโดยไม่ต้องมีการกำกับดูแลอย่างใกล้ชิด ในสภาพแวดล้อมที่รวดเร็วและเปลี่ยนแปลงอยู่เสมอ

สถานที่และสภาพแวดล้อมการทำงาน

• สถานที่: อำเภอแม่สอด จังหวัดตาก ประเทศไทย
• ลักษณะงาน: ทำงานภาคสนาม ประกอบด้วยงานเอกสาร การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล และการประสานงานกับพันธมิตรท้องถิ่น
• การรายงาน: รายงานตรงต่อผู้ประสานงานภาคสนามของ NGO หรือผู้จัดการที่ได้รับมอบหมาย

ค่าตอบแทน

• เงินเดือน: 20,000 บาท
