Position: Charity Support Coordinator

WVS International Training Center conducts training courses for Thai veterinarians in dog population control, rabies management and low-resource medicine. A major part of the everyday work is to surgically sterilize owned and ownerless dogs in order to reduce the population of the unwanted dogs in Chiang Mai which will eventually lead to an improvement in the welfare of both owned and un-owned dogs. The long term goal is to achieve rabies-free Chiang Mai in collaboration with the provincial authority and the provincial livestock office. In addition to sterilizing dogs at the center in Chiang Mai, WVS ITC conducts outreach sterilization and vaccination programs to various parts of Thailand.
Job description:
The Charity Support Coordinator will work together and directly under the Clinical Director of the WVS International Training Center. The main duties include all official communication of the organization with Thai authorities on different level of governmental jurisdiction; preparation of the official documents and coordination and scheduling with a team of animal handers regarding catching and transportation of the animals. Arranging permissions and governmental cooperation regarding outreach programs. Communication with the animal owners and registering owned animals for sterilization. Registration of Thai vets to the training courses. Keeping record of the WVS ITC activities. The chosen person will be trained by the organization.
Requirements:
Degree in social sciences/ business management/ human resources management
Fluent in spoken English, written English an asset
Able to work in a team of different nationalities. A history in working in an international team is an asset.
Strong sense of personal responsibility
Able to work independently but as a member of a team.
Sense of commitment to the goals and ideology of the organization
Willingness to travel within Thailand and possibly abroad
