Volunteer Support Assistant
The role of the Volunteer Support Assistant (VSA) is to provide administrative support to both the Programming and Training Team (P&T) and to the Safety and Security Program. The primary responsibilities of the VSA are supporting the site identification and development process; supporting exchange of Volunteer-generated materials; maintaining the Whereabouts reporting system; supporting Volunteers with homestay issues and housing issues; managing the administrative filing for P&T in coordination with the Program Assistants and the security-related filing in coordination with the Safety and Security Manager (SSM). In addition, the VSA will act as the back-up to the Safety and Security Manager (SSM).
Starting base salary is not less than 30,000 THB/month, negotiable based on qualifications and salary history. The position is also eligible for a thirteenth month bonus, 11 paid annual leave days/year, 20 paid U.S. and Thai holidays, and 13 sick leave days/year.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports American Volunteers with concerns, questions or issues related to their housing or homestay at site. Visits Volunteer sites if needed to help resolve a housing issues.
Assists in the development and revision of Volunteer support materials and resources such as putting together the Volunteers Handbook, Close of Service handbook and other similar documents.
Assists in the maintenance of electronic files, particularly the Volunteer Information Database (VIDA). Assists in training staff in the usage of VIDA and monitors completeness and accuracy of information.
Serves as the backup Safety and Security Manage (SSM), and stays up to date on all required training for designated safety and security staff.
Manages the duty officer calendar, ensures all duty officers know their role and that there are no gaps in coverage. Prints the whereabouts report every week for that duty officer.
Assists the SSM in maintaining post-crime statistics and analyzing trends. Organizes safety and security resources such as manuals, handbooks, slides, and videos.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated organizational skills; ability to manage many administrative tasks at once.
Strong written and oral communication skills; strong inter-personal and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in both English and Thai, both written and oral.
Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite, and other basic computer knowledge.
A high school diploma (or local equivalent); college degree preferred.
Experience with a similar Volunteer or international program is preferred.
Knowledge of safety and security practices is preferred.
Fluency in written and spoken Thai and English; strong written English skills.
Strong computer, coordination, and organizational skills; excellent cross-cultural communication skills.
Willingness to travel extensively throughout the country in support of Volunteers as needed.
