-Urgently Required- Project Coordinator – Climate Change Adaption (Based in Chiang Mai) Roles: Assist in managing and facilitating the ‘Child Centered Climate Change Adaptation Project’ (4CA) which includes planning, implementation, monitoring; with partners/communities/ relevant GOs and NGOs to meet the project’s goals, objectives, and expectations as outlined in the project proposal and in accordance with Plan policies and procedures.
Responsibilities Planning Assist the Project Manager in Project Management Plan Project Operational Plan Update Project Activity Plan in collaboration with local partners (CIC & HPDEF) Operation Facilitate & coordinate with the Project Manager and team for projects management; - planning/implementing /monitoring / evaluation /reporting Through partners, monitor the implementation of activities as per operational and action plans though involvement of all stakeholder in accordance with outlined project proposal. Collaborate and coordinate with communities / partners agencies to ensure effective implementation of project activities including service delivery. This will entail organizing formal and informal meetings with all stakeholders. Facilitate and coordinate the training, awareness raising, and capacity building to children, communities and concern parties on Child Rights, Child Protection and Gender Monitor the progress of the project activities either done directly by Plan or by partners and maintain the progress log in Plan’s reporting system Revise and review both progress towards stated activities and outputs mentioned in the project work plan and a detailed implementation plan as well as financial situations Assist in preparing the project’s progress and financial reports and ensure timely submission Involve in facilitating monthly and quarterly management meetings and planning Maintain records, monitoring, and evaluation for efficient systems/project Provide supports to all concerned parties as required Engage in advocacy with government sector and civil society stakeholders at all levels Emergency Response Be a focal point in the North for Emergency Response Team Coordination with local governments and community volunteers Checking and updating Stock Pile, provide technical support for THA-Go Team Perform other tasks as assigned by line manager Qualifications: Bachelor or Master Degree in Social Science, development, climate change or related fields Minimum 4 years’ experience in managing climate change project or other development projects that relate to environment and climate change, global warming Able to relate to children, families and communities and build a rapport effectively Some experience in working for a multi-cultural organisation will be an advantage Good written and oral communication skills in Thai and English Computer skills: MS office programme such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Facilitating and Training skills Team working/networking establishment and maintaining
