The ICRC regional delegation in Bangkok provides assistance to victims of violence and works with authorities in order to improve the conditions in detention facilities. It also endeavours to promote and to strengthen humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.

We are looking for a

Junior Secretary for Hospitality Department
                                                 Hotel & Transportation Reservations

This post will be under the supervision of Administration: Hospitality/Welcome Department based in Bangkok. Our department is responsible for the visa, hotel, car booking and follow-up of domestic and international flights. It also organizes the welcome of new national and international staff. Finally, this department is in charge of the organization of seminars, conferences and meetings taking place mainly in Bangkok.

Within this dynamic and international context, we are looking for a junior secretary in order to join the team.

Your main responsibilities
• Make reservations for transportation and Hotel
• Organise seminars, meetings and facilitate the overall assigned event under his/her responsible
• Arrange Thai visas and work permits in collaboration with Thai ministries
• Assist in processing visa forms and obtaining visas from foreign embassies in Bangkok
• Maintain physical and electronic filing and keep up-to-date welcome database.
• Perform other administrative tasks such as update of lists, typing, mail preparation and distribution
• Perform other secretarial duties as required


Your education and experience
• Secretary diploma or equivalent
• Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes)
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Minimum 1 year working experience in hotel administration, or travel industry such
             as flight ticket and visas.
• Good negotiation and communication skills
• Capacity to work under pressure
• Capacity to propose pragmatic solutions
• Sense of humour
