About Soi Dog Foundation:
Soi Dog Foundation is the largest animal welfare organisation in Asia dedicated to helping stray dogs and cats. Soi Dog Foundation sterilises, vaccinates, administers medical treatment, shelters, promotes adoption of stray dogs and cats in Thailand, and runs education programmes on animal welfare. Soi Dog Foundation is also actively working on the ground to end Asia’s dog meat trade, and is expanding beyond Thailand to achieve this ambitious goal.
Since 2014, Soi Dog Foundation has grown significantly its supporter base through online campaigns. The success of its approach is often reported in fundraising case studies as unique in its design, implementation and impact.
We are now seeking to expand our operations to serve the stray population in other Asian countries while strengthening and growing our reach in North America and Europe to increase support, both financial and non.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title and Summary: With the appointment of a new International Director of Development and a restructured Fund Development team, we are ready to face new challenges to achieve significant growth and excel in doing so. We are seeking an ambitious and committed individual to join our team to build on the past successes and make his/her mark as Soi Dog Foundation becomes the leader in Asia for animal welfare.
The role of Manager: Supporter Care and Data Services is to ensure overall care in delivering superior quality services to our supporters and donors for maximum retention and engagement. The successful candidate will contribute with strong programme management skills and creative flair to enhance the supporter’s journey, from acquisition to retention and upgrade through production of campaigns, appeals and newsletter, sponsor-tailored communication, donor segmentation, analysis and reporting on trends, and acknowledgement / recognition programme. This role will also be key to ensure we achieve ambitious targets for the growth of the donor base with direct responsibility and oversight on data and by direct involvement in the steps to identify existing and new target audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct data audit to understand Soi Dog Foundation’s supporter base and provide ongoing reports on engagement;
-Maintaining data integrity from all sources, by defining audience segments, accurate coding and documenting protocols and procedures.
-Manage the CRM database, including development of best practices for data entry processes, writing and running existing and new queries/reports and ensuring ongoing training of end users.
-Manage the back-end preparation and implementation of campaigns and appeals, specifically to optimize digital and online efforts; amongst many, managing with high degree of accuracy MailChimp set-up of data and letter templates for e-mailings
-Manage and enhance the current donation and acknowledgement process with a more efficient and effective approach, and a timely and accurate manner.
-In collaboration with the Fund Development team, devise and implement best practices for peer-to-peer, third party fundraising (event/campaign/volunteer/donors) management in the database and conduct analysis of donor/campaign/event trends on a regular basis - both for impact reporting and to inform the strategy
-In collaboration with Finance and Accounting department, provide all reports/queries required for financial reconciliation and auditing purposes.
-Manage the diversification of the current supporter’s journey by integrating other tools and platforms (social media particularly), enriching the same and strengthening engagement.
-In collaboration with the Manager: Communications and Content Management plan and execute all annual fundraising activities through an annual development plan and calendar. With strategic input from the International Director of Fund Development, s/he is responsible for the preparation, cultivation, acquisition, recognition and renewal plans of annual donors
-Support the International Director in the identification and readiness assessment of fundraising opportunities in existing and new markets;
-S/he is responsible for providing input to the re-design of our website, ensuring the journey through the content maximizes the capturing of supporter’s information, that the same is recorded accurately in the database and that it can be used for improved segmentation of the supporter base.
-With the International Director, define and monitor key performance indicators and promptly provide input to correct approaches for increased effectiveness of efforts.
-Manages 1 Adviser: Supporter Care and Sponsorship in her role of customer service provider (management of queries from supporters, recording of relevant information in the database, data management of information related to the Sponsorship programme);
-Manages 1 Adviser: Donations and Data Services in accurate data entry of accounts and financials, with optimization of current processes to ensure prompt receipt and acknowledgement of giving and proper coding for future solicitations or communications.
-Provide support to the rest of the team and to senior management for all that concerns data and performance of fundraising efforts during the year.
-Other duties as required by the post’s competencies and expertise.
Department and Supervisor: The Manager: Supporter Care and Data Services will report to the International Director of Fund Development and has two staff members reporting to him/her (one for supporter care and one for data management). S/he would also work closely with the Manager: Communications and Content Management for strategies and implementation plans.
Skills and Qualifications: The skills required for the role of Manager: Supporter Care and Data Services include:
-English at native speaker level or equivalent desirable
-Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience (required)
-Experience with large scale email campaigns for fundraising.
-Knowledge of current email best practices, and an interest in keeping on top of industry trend and pushing for continuous improvement.
-Experience with both mobile and desktop environments when it comes to data management
-Experience with offline methods of fundraising (direct mail, face-to-face, telemarketing, SMS and mobile-based)
-Superior knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram) and strong insights on user’s behaviour, data capturing and trends analysis.
-Experience in consolidating data from multiple sources
-High level of computer literacy and knowledge of data mining;
-Working knowledge of digital advertising (Facebook primarily) and ad targeting in general
-High level of competency in HTML/CSS, Advanced Adobe Suite skills, Data Analysis (Google Analytics and others)
-Proficiency using BlackBaud Programmes (E-Tapestry, Raiser’s Edge) for development, marketing and financial tracking, reporting and analysis, including implementation of segmentation strategies
-Strong understanding of data privacy and confidentiality and regulations limiting usage.
-Proficient PC skills, including MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, including advanced functionality such as mail merge and pivot tables
-Sound project management and activity budgeting
-Strong graphic design skills desirable (typography, composition, color, layout).
-Energetic, highly organized and able to handle shifting priorities, multiple goals, projects and constituencies in a calm and positive manner
-Commitment to donor centered fundraising and the stewardship of existing donors
-Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, alone or in a team’s effort
-Meticulous, disciplined and with high attention to detail
-Experience managing vendors and suppliers on a project to project basis
-Committed to professional development
-Commitment to furthering the cause of ending the suffering of animals in Asia.
Location and Working requirements: The role is based at the Soi Dog Foundation shelter, in Mai Khao, Phuket, Thailand. With offices located 10-15 minutes from the international airport and within the shelter facility.
Type of Employment: This is a full-time, permanent position only.
