Help without Frontiers Thailand Foundation (HWFTH) is a Thai registered NGOs providing help and support across national frontiers, as well as across the frontiers that may exist in our minds and hearts, to all people who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in an emergency situation from which they are not able to escape without assistance.
Our goal is to provide lasting help and values in form of health and education. Especially children and youth have grown dear to us.
ROLE PURPOSE
Under the overall supervision of the director, the Fundraising and Communication Manager will manage and enhance a sustainable fundraising program to maximize net income and grow the base of national supporters and donors, including public fundraising, high value donors, Corporate, Trusts and Foundations and institutional donors.
The Fundraising and Communication Manager oversees the fundraising function within the Marketing and Communications department of the organization. The role will be key to building current and new funding sources to support the Help without Frontiers Thailand Foundation (HWFTH) mission with particular focus on building sustainable revenue sources.
The Fundraising and Communication Manager is also responsible for the management of strategic communication activities regarding fundraising. The incumbent is also responsible for the social media channels of the organization as well as other media related activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fundraising
- Create and implement an annual fundraising strategy which clearly articulates revenue targets by channel and donor sources including monthly reporting against annual targets.
- Develop a donor database and strategy to ensure a sustainable relationship over time. Build acquisition campaigns which actively add new donors to the donor database and initiate appeals to take advantage of market opportunities.
- Design fundraising initiatives or campaigns to attract new donors.
- Build fundraising events which contribute to the overall fundraising targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and future donors.
- Work closely with the Liaison Officer to write grant proposals.
- Develop and manage a Volunteers program
- Donation in Kind. Gather information of products and materials needed and approach relevant companies.
- Compile reports.
- Communication:
- Build a strong relationship with journalists and stakeholders.
- Create and manage a contact data base.
- Update the corporate presentation of Help without Frontiers Thailand Foundation.
- Create the key messages of each project.
- Develop marketing/communication materials for the organization (e.g. brochure, special projects, poster, etc.).
- Develop and maintain the HWFTH’s website and spotlights in other websites, including regularly providing updates on the organization’s work and progress.
- Manage and create content for all communication channels.
- Social Media. Update content and post it.
- Website. Update content and post it.
- Create a newsletter connected with the data base.
- Create and implement the local Marketing Plan
- Local Marketing campaigns
- Create and manage Thailand Press room.
- Compile progress and activity reports.
- Collaborate with all HWF project managers to collect relevant project information.
- Participate in monthly meetings to identify fundraising gaps.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A university degree in marketing, communications or business
- Relevant certified qualifications in fundraising and marketing
DESIRABLE PROFILE
- At least 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, journalism and/or public relations;
- Work experience in relevant areas especially in the Private Sector Fundraising, Sales or Marketing, with work experience in NGOs or other international organizations an advantage;
- Direct mail experience;
- Highly effective interpersonal and stakeholder management skills which achieve successful business outcomes within complex multilevel environments;
- Demonstrated capability in sales, fundraising, negotiation and revenue generation;
- Proven experience in the use of social media and web-integration applications to raise funds;
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills;
- Team and project management skills which produce measureable revenue outputs;
- PC skills – Microsoft Word, PPT, Publisher, Excel, Website software;
- Database management and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to draw meaningful business insights from data and revenue information;
- Accountability and the ability to deliver assigned tasks on a high standard and in time;
- Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines;
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and with people from a diversity of regions, professional backgrounds and levels of authority;
- Willingness to travel, as required.
