Position Available: Program Logistics Coordinator
The INEB Institute is seeking a Program Logistics Coordinator to begin immediately. The INEB Institute is the institute for transformative learning of the International Network of Engaged Buddhists. It currently runs two programs, a three-month English program and a soon-to-open MA in Socially Engaged Buddhism.
Primary Tasks of the Program Logistics Coordinator:
- Acting as personal assistant to the Academic Director of the INEB Institute.
- Ensuring that work timelines and tasks—website, brochures, student recruitment, funding, budgeting, program preparation, and others—are attended to in a timely and thoughtful fashion.
- Directly handling communications with students, volunteer tutors, and teachers about practical matters, as well as making arrangements for visas, domestic transportation, health insurance, and other matters.
- Helping to find creative solutions to the many challenges of successfully running alternative educational programming.
Required Qualifications:
- Fluent in Thai.
- Advanced level of English.
- Able to listen well and to support the thinking and work of others.
- Able to contribute independently and in a friendly manner to the work of a larger team.
- Highly responsible and able to see the big picture while attending to details.
- Able to work with a home base in or near the Bangkok metropolitan area.
- Willing and able to travel (domestically in Thailand and possibly internationally) when needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in managing and/or leading groups, programs, or enterprises.
- Genuine interest in supporting the work of transformative learning and teaching.
- Genuine interest in helping to craft constructive and meaningful responses to the various challenges and crises facing humanity at present.
- Genuine interest in rethinking and redesigning work relationships and culture.
- Genuine interest in the links between spirituality and social engagement.
- Experience in running trainings, workshops, or other educational programs.
- Degrees and or experience in a field that would support the work of the INEB Institute.
