Summary |
Suwannimit Foundation is a Thailand registered foundation working towards the operational capacity and programmatic impact of its civil service organization partners; and paving ways to increase access to and sustainability of social services for marginalized persons living along the Thailand-Myanmar border. Suwannimit Foundation (SNF) is a Thailand registered organization with the aim of strengthening partners’ operational capacity and programmatic impact; and the sustainability of social services for marginalized persons living along the border districts in Tak province, Thailand. We are currently looking for a person to fill in the position of a Health Officer-Nurse with key role in strengthening local partner’s infection prevention and control and patient care. The position will be based in local partner’s office in Mae Sot. This position is a personally and professionally rewarding experience with the right personality, perspective and values. Job Specific |
Role1: Provide technical support to partners in strengthening their services (70%) · Guide and mobilize local partner in strengthening its infection prevention and control (IPC). Activities includes: o Facilitating the setting up of a committee to develop infection control and prevention protocol and oversee its implementation o Coordinate pool of technical support to provide advice to IPC committee in setting up its IPC protocol o Develop a realistic joint implementation work plan with the committee and designing measurement tools to aid monitoring o Mentor persons-in charge on how to perform monitoring of IPC in their own department o Assist key persons in identifying appropriate changes, materials, supplies and other resources needed to implement the agreed IPC protocols o Assist committee and local partner’s HR on how to engage all relevant staff involved in the process to stimulate understanding and cooperation in the IPC implementation o Provide local partner with information to broaden perspective on IPC such as exposure trips to other health facilities and/or presenting readily available online videos or pictures from health facilities · Assist local health partner in adapting a full scale nursing/patient care at par with the standards of Thai hospitals
Role 2: Collaborations with Thai authorities (10%) · Coordinate with Local Hospitals for the needs of local partner’s Infection Prevention and Control Committee. This also includes arrangement of study visit to the hospital/s and external evaluation support and recommendation to improve overall quality of work.
Role 3: Program planning and monitoring (10%) · Provide inputs during project design and planning to support health strategies. · Take lead in monitoring the indicators under his role.
Role 4: Administrative and Reporting (10%) · Monthly report to Health Coordinator. · Other adhoc duties as assigned |

· Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science with Nursing License
|

Work Experience |
· At least 3 year experience working in a hospital (government or private) · With experience in the hospital’s infection control system |

Skills/Knowledge/Aptitude |
· Familiarity with Thailand public health system, preferably including Myanmar public health context |
|
|
Language(s) |
· Thai language proficiency with good command in English · Burmese or Karen language is desirable |
|
|
Motivation |
· Special interest in improving the works of grassroots organizations · Self-motivated, and a self –starter but able to work as part of a team · Effective time management; · Demonstrated resourcefulness; · Knows when to take action and when to refer. |
