 Plan International Thailand Job Advertisement – Program Director

 

Plan is an international humanitarian, child-centered development organization, implementing development programs that promote the realization and fulfilment of children’s rights and the alleviation of child poverty.

 

Position: Program Director

Assignment duration: Permanent contract

Duty station: Bangkok

 

JOB BACKGROUND: The Program Director is in charge of working in close coordination with program implementers (Project Managers/PUM) and Sector Program Managers; providing leadership in the development and implementation  of Plan’s Programs in Thailand. He/she oversees the annual program planning and implementation process, monitors progress towards objectives / goals and defines measures to ensure the highest quality of Plan International Thailand’s programs. He/she adheres to Regional and Global strategies and program standards and that Plan’s program remains innovative, but at the same time relevant to local context and global environment.

 

JOB PURPOSE:  This incumbent will be responsible for:-

 

  • High quality of program development teams following CCCD (child centred community development )
  • Implementation of designed programs in a planned way with quality and bring sustainable changes in the lives of children and communities
  • Effective support is provided to fund sourcing and also delivery of emergency and development programs
  • Manage performance of program team and empower them to deliver sustainable changes to children and their committees
  • Participate in the Country Management team (CMT) to provide effective leadership and decision making
  • To be a technical advisor for all program teams
  • To provide a good coordination with Program Unit Team in Chiang rai station.

 

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: At least Master’s degree with 10-12 year experience as Program Head in any development organization; Demonstrate ability to develop and implement program strategy and manage Grants funded programs. Experience in or familiarity with sponsorship program management is desirable; Computer literate; Good English skills; Relevant overseas experience will be advantage.
