Location: terre des hommes Germany, Bangkok, Thailand, with required travel within the Southeast Asian region if and when necessary.
About Our Rivers Our Life (OROL) Campaign: 'Our Rivers Our Life' (OROL) is a regional river and life protection campaign initiated by the seven-member Regional Working Group on Biodiversity (RWG-BioDiv), partners of terre des hommes (Germany) in the Southeast Asian region. This regional working group consists of Burma, Lao PDR, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. The OROL campaign works to introduce children to the political debate; develop OROL’s networks in ASEAN countries; and enforce specific measures to protect the ecosystems and biodiversity of rivers and the livelihoods of people living along the rivers. The OROL campaign aims to: 1) Awareness raising among children, youth and communities on ecological child rights, biodiversity and river protection; 2) Consolidation and building of ecological children’s and youth groups (River-Watch–Groups); 3) Media reporting on ecological child rights through children and youth; 4) Influencing policies for the protection of ecological child rights through children, youth and supporters; 5) Regional, national and international network strengthening.
About the Position: The OROL campaign needs an Accountant who will responsible to manage the accounting of the project. As a team member of the regional secretariat, he or she will be working closely with the project coordinator and the monitoring expert to manage project grants, finance and reporting, in close cooperation with the country focal points of the RWG-BioDiv (in the seven member countries), the terre des hommes country coordinators, and the terre des hommes Southeast Asian regional office in Bangkok.
