Position title:                  Environmental Education Project Manager (only for Thai Nationality)

Directly reports to:          Gordon Congdon, Conservation Program Manager, WWF-Thailand

Supervises:                      Project Support Team

Validity:                           One year, with option to renew for subsequent years

Location:                          Bangkok, WWF Thailand

Major Responsibilities

• Take the lead role in managing, planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the Earth Hour City Challenge project. Provide support to the Nestle and Ikano projects as needed.
• Manage and provide support to other urban project assistant staff, especially in activity planning, implementation, and technical know-how.
• Develop concepts, project proposals, and budgets for the WWF-Thailand Urban Program.
• Manage the Project’s financial resources professionally.
• Work closely with the Communication and Marketing team to inform the public about project activities and accomplishments.
• Submit all required reports in a timely manner, including TPR, APMS, M&E, and others as required.

This TOR covers the main tasks and conveys the spirit of the sort of tasks that are anticipated proactively from staff. Other tasks may be assigned as necessary according to organizational needs.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in environmental/biology/ecology/natural resource management or rural development
• 3-5 years experience in the implementation of projects/programs related to environmental education
• At least three years experience in managing complex projects
• Knowledge and experience in climate change mitigation and sustainable energy a plus
• Proficient in project planning, budgeting, and report writing
• Ability to communicate and work with government officials, NGOs and communities
• Understand governmental processes and can write official letters in Thai
• Good communications skills
• Fluency in Thai, able to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate level
