Job Title and Summary: The role of Fundraising Officer – Donor Relations is to work as part of the fundraising team to develop and maintain Soi Dog Foundation’s relationships with 1.3 M supporters and donors. This role will also build relationships with donors and prospective donors, in order to increase support for Soi Dog Foundation worldwide and reduce donor attrition. This role will provide support as needed to the Manager: Donor and Data Services, works collaboratively with the Fundraising Officer – Donor and Data Services and contribute to fundraising projects.

Key Responsibilities: The Fundraising Officer – Donor Relations will be responsible for the following functions supporting the Fundraising Officer – Donor and Data Services

Support management of the donor database Assist Fundraising Officer – Donor and Data Services with the following;

• Weekly downloads of donation data to be processed and uploaded into donor database.
• Manage failed transactions and cancellations.
• Perform updates of recurring donations.
• Send new donor communications.

Respond to donor enquiries

• Respond to emails from current and prospective donors as required.
• Assist donors with changes to their donations.
• Provide support to prospective donors.

Improve donor attrition rates

• Contact and follow up with lapsed credit card donors and cancelled PayPal donors to encourage continued donations.

Other duties will include but are not limited to:

• Collating donor data and running reports to provide targeted lists for communications.
• Updating thank you email templates and donor email appeals.
• Providing assistance to Fundraising Officer: Donor and Data Services with design, configuration and implementation of the new database (Raiser’s Edge) and training of staff.
• Providing support to the fundraising team for leave coverage.
• Represent Fundraising team with other staff, volunteers, donors, supporters and visitors.

Department and Supervisor: The Fundraising Officer – Donor Relations is a member of the Fundraising Team at Soi Dog Foundation, reporting to Manager: Donor Relations – Digital and Data Services.

Skills and Qualifications: The skills required for the role of Fundraising Officer – Donor Relations include:

• Thai nationality with fluent English
• High level of computer literacy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• High attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Scheduling and organisation skills
• Good analytical skills

Location: The role of Fundraising Officer – Donor Relations is based at the Soi Dog Foundation shelter, in Mai Khao, Phuket, Thailand.

Type of Employment:  Full time position.

Benefits: 

Five-day work week, 8:00 am-17:00 pm. (May be required to work weekend or flexible time depending on their duties as directed by their Head of Department)
