Development News and Information Sources
SEI is an independent international research institute, engaged in environment and development issues at local, national, regional and global policy levels for more than a quarter of a century. Our goal is to bring about change for sustainable development by bridging science and policy. We do this by providing integrated analysis that supports decision makers. SEI works from seven main locations, with additional offices linked to these. Project teams generally span locations.
The Graphic/Digital Designer will develop graphics and data visualizations for the SERVIR-Mekong (https://servir.adpc.net/) project of the SEI Asia Centre and to meet the Centre’s various graphic design needs. The designer will work closely with SEI Asia's researchers and the SERVIR-Mekong team to develop materials that are visually attractive, clear and informative, and that can be deployed on multiple platforms.
SERVIR-Mekong applies geospatial data to support sustainable development planning. SERVIR-Mekong empowers decision-makers with tools, products, and services to act locally on climate-sensitive issues such as disasters, agriculture, water, ecosystems and land use. Leveraging advanced technology platforms and prioritizing a demand-driven approach to activities, the program is breaking new ground in using innovative approaches to help decision makers in the Lower Mekong Region better respond to a changing climate.
The Graphic/Digital Designer works closely with researchers doing cutting-edge, highly policy-relevant work on climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, sustainable resource management, and other crucial development issues in the region. The designer will have to liaise closely with colleagues in SERVIR-Mekong and report directly to the SEI Asia Communications Coordinator.
