Position : Field Coordinator – Chiva Pa Doi Project (Based in Chiangmai)
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess relevance and effectiveness of the project’s strategy and approaches for the achievement of the project objectives;
- Prepare and update project annual and quarterly work plans.
- Draft TORs for key inputs (i.e. personnel, sub-contracts, training, and procurement)
- Provide technical advice to project beneficiaries, review technical reports and monitor technical activities carried out by responsible parties.
- Assumes direct responsibility for managing the project budget by ensuring that:
- project funds are disbursed properly;
- expenditure is in accordance with the project document and project work plans;
- accounting records and supporting documents are properly kept and financial reports are prepared;
- Financial operations are transparent and financial procedures/regulations are properly applied.
- Assess the project intervention impacts on women’s empowerment and the dissemination of this in their communities
- Prepare project progress reports and the project final report, as well as review meetings and evaluation missions.
- Analyze underlying factors beyond CARE control that affect the achievement of the project results;
- Provide recommendations to key project stakeholders for follow-up activities.
Qualifications:
- University degree with knowledge in agricultural value chain, local market development, business development and marketing.
- Knowledge in Food Science and environmentally friendly products is an asset.
- Extensive experience in project management, planning and implementation, familiarity with donor funded development projects;
- Strong analytical skills, oral and written communication and team building skills;
- Substantial experience in leading teams;
- Sound experience in participatory review and evaluation methodologies.
- The ability to conduct interviews / discussions in English and Thai.
- Familiarity with Northern Thailand.
- Good eye for detail, observance to logic.
- Strong presentation, facilitating, communication and reporting skills.
