TERMS OF REFERENCE:

Short Term Consultancy for

Creating Graphic Design of E-Learning Modules

Application deadline: March 17, 2017

Duration of Contract: Maximum 15 working days during the period May-June 2017

Background:

The Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism (“The Code”) is an industry-driven responsible tourism initiative with a mission to provide awareness, tools and support to the tourism industry in order to prevent the sexual exploitation of children. The Global Coordination role of the Code is implemented through ECPAT International.

Violence against children happens everywhere, in every country and across all social groups. The Code encourages the practice of responsible, sustainable tourism by tourism companies from around the world. By enacting responsible policies, the tourism companies (“members” of The Code) play an essential role in protecting children from the sexual exploitation that is particularly prevalent in this industry. Tourism professionals therefore have the unique opportunity to stop child sex tourism within their work environments and beyond.

In order to achieve the goal in protection, it is necessarily for people involved in this industry to have a good understanding about the issue and how to stop it. The Code’s team and local partner network provides support, guidance, best practice examples, and online tools for the industry partners to make these actions as easy and effective as possible. Importantly, interactive online training is provided to the members, which allows their staff access to the e-learning modules, and to be trained the staff on how to recognize the signs of child sexual exploitation and to deal with suspected cases.

The Code, ECPAT and UNICEF are working together to develop new interactive, scenario-based training to be applicable to all business types and for a range of staff functions.

The overall objective of this assignment is to create the graphic web-based design of two new E-learning modules.

  • One module is for training on liaising with law enforcement;
