We are currently seeking a qualified candidate with technical expertise to support HelpAge country offices in achieving our programme objectives in Asia region.

Position: Regional Finance Officer

Work base: Asia Regional Office in Chiang Mai

Salary: Competitive benefit package

Contract length: 2 years (with possible extension)

The organisation: HelpAge International’s vision is a world where older people fulfil their potential to lead active, dignified, healthy and secure lives. We are the secretariat of the HelpAge network, bringing together more than 114 affiliates and 200 partners working with older people in over 50 countries.

Job purpose and key responsibilities: Responsible for the provision of technical support to HelpAge country offices, network members and partners in Asia region to ensure the completion of accurate and timely financial reports according to the plan. Contribute to the development of regional financial system and development, audit processes, budget proposals development and trainings.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience: ­

-Thai national; ­

-Minimum Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certified would be preferred;

-At least 5 years of relevant work experience in financial/business management position including budgeting and coordinating audits; ­

-Proven experience in financial administration; ­

-Essential experience of working with NGOs or international agencies or multinational business, preferably as Senior Finance Officer or similar;

-Significant experience in budget planning skills for multiple donors with high level of financial literacy; ­

-Sound analytical and influencing skills;

-Ability to work independently as well as in a team; ­

-Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and ability to work with different groups and nationalities; ­

-Strong initiative and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to humanitarian principles;

­-Excellent information technology skills; ­

-Ability to multi-task and cope with competing demands under tight deadlines, identify priority activities and assignments, adjust priorities as required;

-Fluent written and spoken English language; ­

-Having knowledge and experience of working in different countries across Asia wold be desirable.
