Summary |
Suwannimit Foundation is a Thailand registered foundation dedicated to strengthening the operational capacity, programming impact and sustainability of community-based organizations that service underprivileged people on the Thailand-Burma border. RCH midwife position will be under the direct supervision of the IRC RCH Manager. The RCH Midwife is responsible for providing continuous and holistic care for women during pregnancy, delivery and puerperium (post-partum phase); managing the drug consumption / order for maternity ward of the in-patient clinic; establishing and maintaining hygiene standards to include proper care of camp-based medical equipment; training camp-based midwives and nurses on nursing care and midwifery through coaching and on-going guidance; assisting with referrals for patients experiencing protracted labor and or complications during labor; and assessing and reporting on gaps in capacity and needs of camp-based midwives. This position will work in refugee camps in Tak province and will take lead role for transition from IRC health team by the end of 2017.

Job Specific |
Role 1: Reproductive & Child Health (RCH) and Nursing health care in the camps (80%) 1. Work closely with focal persons to understand of the work in Antenatal Care (ANC), Postpartum Care (PPC), Delivery Room, Outpatient Department (OPD) and Inpatient Department (IPD) in camp clinics 2. Integrate RCH and nursing health care knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective care 3. Research and design activities/trainings which can improve the services
Role 2: Coordination and partnership (10%) 1. Closely coordinate with the Camp health staff and Camp community for health issue in the camp 2. Attend the meetings with Thai government units, NGOs and Partners
Role 3: Reporting (10%) 1. Submit regular reports as agreed with Medical Manager/ IRC RCH Manager 2. File and manage supporting documents as indicated in the monitoring framework 3. Provide inputs for program development and proposals and sharing of information within SNF regarding meetings, project activities, camp and other coordination issues, or any other relevant information |

Position Requirements |
|

|
Education |
· Bachelor degree in Nursing Science or Diploma in Midwifery · Nursing Certification (RN) |
|
|
Work Experience |
· At least 3 years’ experience of Nurse or Midwifery in hospital or clinical / primary care setting. · At least 2 years’ experience of Immunization · Experience in reproductive health in a refugee setting or in developing country is an advantage |

Skills/Knowledge/Aptitude |
· Strong organizational skills, good at multi-tasking, flexible. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing · Basic computer literacy such as knowledge in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint |

Language(s) |
· Fluency in Thai or Burmese with English proficiency · Karen and/or Burmese language skills an advantage |
